ℹ️ Good away performance, but Arteta’s favouritism costed us 3 points.
He keeps picking Havertz, who just runs around the pitch uselessly without making runs in behind, over Gyökeres, who came on and immediately started making the defenders work and assisted the equaliser. I don’t know what Arteta expects Merino to do as a No. 10 when he’s repeatedly shown that it doesn’t work. Why not Dowman, the one player capable of providing that magic? Rice and Guimarães aren’t working either, and Lewis-Skelly’s introduction restored control.
When will Arteta stop favouring his favourites and start making decisions based on merit? 👀
