π§‘π€ We cannot express enough gratitude for the people who make our community so special. This week, our coaching team was surprised by our members on National Coaches Day with a heartfelt show of appreciation. It caught us off guard and reminded us why we do what we do. π
My Karate βKyoshiβ taught me at age 7 to have an βAttitude of Gratitude.β Later in life, a mentor taught me βGratitude Always.β As we celebrate Thanksgiving, these words have never felt more meaningful.
Almost seven years ago, we signed the lease to our first location. Before our doors even opened, community members were helping renovate, clean, and build change rooms. Friends and even non-members with skilled trades offered their time and expertise to help us build our dream.
When the pandemic hit, our community helped us through one of our toughest challenges. When we outgrew our first space and moved into our new home, people once again showed up with pickup trucks, rolled up their sleeves, and helped move our gym in a single weekend.
Boss has always been about more than Muay Thai. Itβs about people showing up for one another.
Today, our team has grown to include coaches, assistant youth coaches, front desk staff, a custodian, and a gym manager. We are especially grateful to our OG coaches, Zach and Jess, who have been with us since day one.
Despite all the growth, our purpose remains the same: helping people discover confidence, achieve their goals, and realize just how capable they truly are.
Seven years have brought wins, challenges, and valuable lessons. Through it all, one thing has remained constant: our people. Our coaches, staff, members, families, friends, and supporters have helped build something much bigger than a gym.
To everyone who has been part of our journey, THANK YOU. Whether youβve helped build our spaces, coached on the mats, supported a family member, cheered on an athlete, or simply walked through our doors, youβve helped make Boss what it is today.
We are proud of what weβve built together, and we never take it for granted. Hereβs to the next seven years of growing, learning, and serving our community! π€π§‘
