🍁 What an incredible day we had last Saturday for our Fall Market at the Kenora Curling Club!

A massive thank you to Northern Waste & Hauling, Boston Pizza, Jake on the Lake and Laurie Edmonds for their incredible support in making this event such a success.

We also couldn't have done it without our incredible volunteers who were right there on the floor keeping everything running smoothly from start to finish—you are the heartbeat of our community!

Thank you to everyone who came out to shop local and support our vendors. See you at the next one! 🛍️✨

Lake of the Woods Representation at the Northern Ontario Club Championships

Keewatin Curling Club

From Local Ice to the Provincial Stage 🥌

From March 26th to 29th, the competitive focus shifts to Fort Frances as three of our area's teams compete in the Northern Ontario Curling Association (NOCA) Club Championships.

What are the Club Championships?

This event is the pinnacle for the "true" club curler. Unlike the professional tour circuit, the Club Championships are restricted to members who represent the heartbeat of local leagues.

It provides an opportunity for competitive players who balance their passion for the game with careers and family to represent their home ice and potentially earn a spot at the National Championships in St. Thomas, Ontario, this November. These provincials in Fort Frances will determine who moves on to represent Northern Ontario on that national stage.

The Teams

It is a testament to the strength of our local curling programs to see such a strong, collaborative contingent heading to the provincials:

Team Taylor – Representing the Kenora Curling Club

Team McDonald – Representing the Kenora Curling Club

Team Szajewski – Representing the Keewatin Curling Club
