Ok, so right now the weather forecast makes it look like this game won't happen, but we're hoping the system that is approaching will decide to avoid the Valley so we can get this make-up game in. First pitch against the Metro Brewers is scheduled for 7:30pm. We will update our page as soon as possible if anything changes.

Two of our Kentville Wildcats players are looking to invest in an indoor baseball and softball facility in the area, and we'd like to gauge the interest in such a facility. Your Kentville Wildcats are hosting the Metro Brewers on Thursday in a make-up game at 7:30pm.

Please note, the following make-up games have been rescheduled from rainouts and cancelled games.

WILDCATS BATS SHOW UP IN FULL FORCE

Kentville easily dispatched Halifax on Sunday, 11-2. The Wildcats opened the scoring in the first after Brett McGinnis hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. They added one run in the second when Caleb Medicraft hit a sacrifice fly, making the score 2-0.

Four more Wildcats runs crossed the plate in the third inning to extend the lead to 6-1. Evan Ryan (pictured) homered to deep left field, scoring two runs, Ryan Crocker doubled, scoring one run, and Medicraft grounded out, scoring one run.

Kentville then scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Adam Crocker singled, scoring one run, Dawson Oldham singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and McGinnis grounded out, scoring one run.

Kyle Armsworthy earned the win for Kentville. The pitcher surrendered five hits and two runs over four innings, striking out two and walking one. Bailey Macdonald took the loss for Halifax. He went five innings, giving up six runs on six hits, striking out four and walking three. Crocker tossed three innings of zero-run ball for Kentville in relief, allowing two hits, striking out four, and walking one.

Residents of Centreville reported seeing Evan Ryan’s prodigious home run - his seventh of the season - fly past their homes on way to the Bay of Fundy. We’ll update a landing spot once confirmed. 🙂

There’s no place like home, and we’re at Memorial Park hosting the Halifax Mets in a few minutes!

We're hosting the Halifax Mets tonight at 5pm at Memorial Park. Come out and cheer on your Wildcats as they look to heat up in these last few games of the regular season.

Please note, in an effort to have the best chance to play tomorrow’s game and avoid the rain, we’re bumping the game time up to 5pm. Hope to see you all there!

The away game originally scheduled for tomorrow, August 29 versus the Metro Brewers has been postponed. We will announce a makeup date when it is scheduled.

We will be home at Memorial Park on Sunday to take on the Halifax Mets. First pitch is scheduled for 7pm.

FACCHINI PITCHES GEM AS DRY DEFEAT WILDCATS 6-2

Ryan Facchini was dominant on the bump, as the starting pitcher rang up 12 strikeouts in Dartmouth Dry's 6-2 victory over Kentville on Thursday at Beazley Fields. Facchini allowed three hits and two runs over seven innings while walking four.

A single by Dawson Oldham put Kentville on the board in the top of the first. Dartmouth took the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the second thanks to singles by Layton Cuvilier, and Jake Mackinnon. The Dry added one run in the third after Logan Raftus lined into a double play.

Jack Gallant took the loss for Kentville Sr Wildcats. The pitcher went four innings, giving up five runs (four earned) on eight hits, striking out none and walking three. Oldham went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in.
