Taekwondo CFB Kingston

As our club continues to mature and grow, new classes are being added to help attend the various needs of different ages and ranks. There will be (3) types of introductory, beginners classes (Little Dragons, Kids and Adults). We will also still have mixed age/ rank family focused classes and additional classes for blue belts and higher. As we move to train/ test black belts, I may adjust and reserve an hour from the Saturday class for this group - as black belts require different formation.

This year your instructors are:
Mr. Dwayne Bos, 4th Dan, Head Instructor
Mr. Teodoro Amardo, 3rd Dan, Instructor
Cole Tremblay, black strip, Assistant Instructor.

All red belt and black stripes can be called upon to assist during class, lead warm ups as Junior Assistant Instructors. In order to be an Assistant Instructor, a student must be an adult (age 18+).

End of year pool party!! With a special rainbow to boot!

Rain has stopped and should be cloudy but clear for the pool party. It's not a hot day but I've bumped the pool to 85 and it'll feel warm since it's cool out. The hot tub is set for 101. Weather shouldn't interrupt our fun and BBQ time.

Please take gravel side road left of the house for our lower parking and enter the pool by our side gate.

Fun with knives. Cole coordinated a class on some smooth knife moves and counters. Then, each got a clean white shirt and Bingo dabbers "knives" and they had knife fights. The colours are the stab wounds, though I think they stabbed themselves a few times. The intent was to show how deadly a knife fight would be in real life.

Testing date: 20 June, Saturday for all the colour belts.

Pool party on 22 June at Mr Bos' house. 5:30 for 6 pm.

For this Saturday, holiday weekend - our training is going to focus on some unique specialist kicks. After a nice flexible warm up, I will teach the Butterfly Kick (Batae Chagi) and Wall-assisted kick (Balsa Chagi). We will move through these kicks motion by motion.

Bear in mind, these are advanced kicks; I will also be learning as we learn together. These kicks are flashy, and impressive when done smoothly.
