Yesterday was our first Bronze Regatta of the season! Our CanSail 3/4’s raced with BYC Sailing School and completed in 4 races, with wind from 15-25 knots! The Opti and 420 race teams helped run the races from the Race Committee, Jury boat and Mark boats. Bronze Regatta is a learning regatta to give our 3/4’s an opportunity to start getting into racing, and our sailors did incredible!

Last week our race teams competed at Steers and Four Sisters, hosted by Port Credit Yacht Club. Our Opti Development team participated in Steers over Thursday and Friday in the green fleet division. For most of our Opti racers it was their first away regatta, and they had such a great performance. After 4 races, Erwin placed 6th, James 9th and George in 26th, out of 58 boats!
Our 420 Race Team had 2 races at Steers and used them as training for Four Sisters. In the C420 spinnaker division, Georgia and Nikola placed 9th, Jackson and Xander 22nd, and Annabel and Colin in 73rd, out of 88 boats! At Four sisters Nikola and Georgia placed 1st, Jackson and Xander in 2nd, and Annabel and Colin in 17th, out of 31 boats!
Our race teams had so much fun, sailing, learning and even bonding over team dinner with coach Owen!
