The Garrison Golf and (former) Curling Club (GG&CC) is located on Red Patch Ave on the McNaughton side of CFB Kingston. Established in 1961 as a curling and recreational facility, the club served as a seasonal outlet until a 9-hole golf course was added in 1971. More rain created some wet conditions today for the opening round of the Club Championships, but the field battled through and posted some great scores.
Congratulations to Colleen Ward, who secured the Senior Women’s Club Championship.
In the Women’s Club Championship, Amanda Gallagher leads by six after a solid opening-round 81.
In the Men’s Division, Emile Peponoulas fired an incredible 69 and will take a five-stroke lead into tomorrow’s final round.
In the Junior Division, Hunter Uppal holds a slim one-shot lead over Ben Bauml heading into the final round.
