Another great day of training in the books!

Another 365 days for these two! 🥳🎈Despite what most would describe as a year-altering injury and major setback, Andrew would tell you time and time again, it was one of his best years yet! Over the past twelve months he has shown every member what it means to put in the work, to be committed to the long grind of incremental improvement, how to plan ahead and develop solutions to roadblocks so that you can continue enjoying the activities you love. Never with complaint, always smiling, and truly eager to tackle the next step, his approach is both admired and respected. Andrew is a leader in every sense of the word, and we are so lucky that he is at the helm!

Wishing you a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY and wishing you another 365 days of what life is all about - exploring passions, improving skills, training hard, moving creatively, moving freely, playing, learning, and laughing! You have certainly taught this to so many people, both past and present. Happiest of birthdays to YOU & MOLLY.

We are so proud of for being 1 of 30 swimmers selected to represent Canada in the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Australia in August of this year 👏✨🇦🇺!

Ben has been training this year in Toronto and has been doing incredible! He swam at Olympics Trials at the end of May and finished 3rd in the 100 Free, 6th in the 100 Back and 7th in the 50 back!

It has been over 20 years since KBM has had a swimmer selected for this high level of a meet and we are so proud!

His birthday is the perfect day to be grateful for, and celebrate, someone who exemplifies this every single day. If you’ve spent any time in our gym, as part of our community, past or present, you certainly know how deeply Andrew cares about each and every person that walks through the door. It is quite easy to care about members’ health, strength, and mobility, but it is a rare and special person who invests their energy, their time, and their interest in you - the whole, entire you. If you reflect on your conversations with him, you will soon realize he knows and asks about your partner, your children, your parents, your family. Your personal pursuits and professional goals are understood, and he finds different ways to encourage and support both. When the chips are down, and life sends you a curveball, he’s always there. He asks questions about your life, what brings you fulfilment, and he continuously strives to help you navigate the messy path towards it. Yes, he’s undoubtedly a phenomenal technical coach, but more importantly he puts his heart fully into his people. Today we say thank you, we celebrate Andrew, that truly rare individual.
