Congratulations to the two KLBC players at the Men's Fours Provincial Championships in Pickering this weekend. Pierre Vanderhout's team (pictured, with Brad Tichbourne, Dave DeFoe, Desmond Tibby, and Pierre from the left), went undefeated until the semi-finals, where they lost 11-7 to the eventual champions and ultimately finished in 4th place. And James Baggs' team (photo shows Alan Hunter, Rhys Warren, Peter Stuart-Sheppard and James) lost only one preliminary round game before being eliminated in the quarter-finals. Next weekend, KLBC's Curtis Wartman competes in the Men's Indoor Singles Provincial qualifier in Etobicoke!

Today was our annual Open House, and we were able to introduce our sport to many new people. And lots of them have signed up to be members! Thanks to everyone who gave it a try, and thanks to our team of volunteers...your enthusiasm was contagious! If you missed out, it's not too late: reach out to us and we'll set up something for you! (After the Open House, we had our regular Sunday afternoon jitney, and then a BBQ for all the volunteers. Special thanks to Chef Don!)
