ELEMENTAL: Chinese Medicine · Kundalini Yoga · Fire Horse Year 2026
Once every 60 years, the Fire Horse arrives — bold, fierce, and burning with purpose. This 4-part summer series uses the ancient wisdom of Chinese Medicine and the transformative power of Kundalini yoga to help you ride the fire wisely, cool what needs cooling, nourish what has been neglected, and release what the flames have refined. One element. One month. One 2-hour practice. Four workshops that work beautifully alone — and even better together.

We talk a lot about productivity and screen time.
We talk less about regulation.
In clinic, I’m not treating “phone addiction.”
I’m treating nervous systems that haven’t had space to settle.
When the mind feels scattered, sleep is lighter, and emotions are closer to the surface, we look at balance — Heart and Kidney communication, smooth Liver flow, adequate Blood to anchor the Shen.
Your system isn’t weak.
It may just be overstimulated.
Healing isn’t about willpower.
It’s about restoring rhythm.

In Five Element and TCM Acupuncture , I track patterns — not just pain.
Feeling better doesn’t always mean the work is done. Often, when symptoms quiet, the body is ready to go deeper, supporting balance at a constitutional level.
This is the perfect time to prevent flare-ups and cultivate lasting harmony. Healing unfolds in layers, and care is most effective when chosen proactively, not reactively.
✨ Reconnection is cultivated over time. Your body remembers the work, and support is always here when the timing feels right.

Bone broth is more than nourishment for the body — it’s medicine for the nervous system, the emotions, and the deeper reserves of the self.
In Five Element Chinese medicine, bone broth strongly supports the Water element, which governs the Kidneys, bones, marrow, and Jing (essence). This is the energy that carries us through stress, change, and long seasons of giving. When Water is depleted, we may feel fearful, exhausted, brittle, or disconnected from our inner steadiness.
Physically, bone broth helps nourish bones, joints, connective tissue, blood, and yin. Its warmth and depth support digestion, circulation, and recovery — especially during colder months or times of healing, burnout, or transition.
Emotionally, the Water element is linked to our ability to feel safe, rooted, and resilient. Warm, slow-simmered foods like bone broth gently calm the nervous system, soften fear, and help restore a sense of inner grounding. This kind of nourishment reminds the body that it is supported — that it can rest and rebuild.
In a world that encourages constant output, bone broth invites a different rhythm:
slow down, go inward, replenish deeply.
This is especially powerful during yin season, when the body naturally seeks warmth, simplicity, and restoration. Making bone broth becomes a ritual — a way of listening to what the body truly needs, and honoring the wisdom of the seasons.
Sometimes healing isn’t about doing more.
It’s about feeding what’s already wise within you. 🖤🍲

And that’s a wrap for teaching kundalini yoga in Brantford! Recently I just finished 8 weeks of 2 hour intense workshops teaching about the chakras from an integral theory perspective.
The people who have shown up to these classes have been amazing and truly dedicated.
At its core it was still classic kundalini yoga in regards to the postures, but from a bigger viewpoint the workshops were so much more- more real with even more emphasis than ever on guiding students to be their own teacher/guru and healer from a place of felt senses and inner safety to explore.
For me as a teacher, it brought the spark of teaching back from a place of the Authentic Self. And to make it better I always get excited to nerd out and share in how kundalini yoga links with Chinese Medicine.
I look forward to hopefully teaching this series of classes and more in Kingston.
