The mats just got a little more colourful! Huge congratulations to Kennedy, Nigel and Luiza on your recent promotions! You’ve all been working so hard, and it’s been amazing to watch your dedication, growth and positive attitudes shine on and off the mats. We can’t wait to see what you accomplish next! Keep showing up, keep learning, and keep enjoying the journey!

We are getting a visit from some high level competitors this week! Tess McComish is a Hayabusa Fightwear sponsored athlete who's travelling from Australia to visit. Tess and her brother Orson are both decorated competitors who took gold at the Pan Pacific IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championships last fall and just competed at Worlds this past saturday. We are so excited to train with and learn from them both! We are also extending an open invitation to anyone who's interested to join us on Wednesday night @6:30 for some No-Gi training followed by an open mat to welcome them to town!

A number of Hayabusa members went out to participate in the grand opening of The Chop Shop yesterday! Chris and Janet have a built an excellent space in beautiful Haliburton and we're glad so many people could make it to support them!

It's official! We're running a kids camp this summer! Our camp will include Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Judo, crafts, and outdoor fun throughout the week. It’s a great opportunity for kids to stay active, build confidence, and have an awesome summer experience in a positive environment.

Every camper will also receive an exclusive camp T-shirt included with registration!

If you have children, nieces, nephews, family friends, or anyone who may be interested, we’d love for you to help spread the word!



Cost: $300 for the 1st Child and $250 for 2nd+ children

Dates: August 10th–14th

Time: 9:00am - 4:00pm

(Before and after care available for an extra $50!)

Ages: 7-12

All experience levels welcomed! We will provide all necessary equipment needed for the duration of the week!

We had an excellent seminar this past weekend! Everyone got an excellent opportunity to sharpen their guard passing thanks to the lesson from Professor Elliot Bayev. We also had some well deserved promotions!

As sad as we are to see them go we are so happy to see Logan, Erik and Arthur all graduating from the Royal Military College! Good luck at your first postings guys, we hope you keep up the training! (Also, there was a bonus Isaac sighting!)
