Building an Inclusive Dance Community in Kingston

The Conservatory’s aim is not to build a dance school, but to build a dance COMMUNITY. We welcome all ages and abilities, and our instructors have decades of professional training and experience working in both dance and development. We believe that dance is for EveryBody, and our classes are founded on the principles of accessibility, integrity and inclusion, as reflected in our Mission:

CREATIVE EXCELLENCE: The Conservatory delivers dance programming distinguished by artistic integrity, transparency and accountability; grounded in the principles of lifelong growth, exploration and development as artists and as people.

CULTURAL ENRICHMENT: The Conservatory's dance education practices reflect our deep appreciation for cultural authenticity, tradition, sensitivity and evolution, and our responsibility to learn from one another as global citizens.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: The Conservatory actively partners with groups and individual members of our regional community to offer inclusive arts participation, education, performance and outreach experiences as a demonstration of our respect for the inherent dignity and value of all people.
