FORK Hydrofoil Kite Regatta Kingston

Ross was instrumental to the sport of sailing and to our Kiteboarding regattas here in Kingston. He was always excited about expanding the sport and happy to give advice to young people with new ideas. We are sad to see his passing. He will be missed by many.

We are mourning the recent loss of Ross Cameron, a founding Director of CFC (Canadian Foiling Center). Ross encouraged us to rise above the waves and fly. He saw foiling as the next great evolution in the sport of sailing. His vision was to make Kingston a centre for foiling – the future of sailing. By being a cornerstone of building the Canadian Foiling Centre, that goal is closer to reality. With his wealth of knowledge, experience, enthusiasm, and skill he guided us through the turbulent waters of organizing and running FOILKingston/FORK regatta bringing all four foiling disciplines together in Canada for the first time ever. We hope to be able to continue his dream and honour his wishes to have youth and adult development in foiling as part of his sailing legacy in Kingston.

FORK 2019 was a big success! Thanks to all those who helped make it happen, see you all next year!
