Attention U12 families

As we look ahead to next season, I wanted to share a few important updates about the U12 program. Registration opens August 20.

U12 will begin to look much more like our competitive programs. This is an important step in the players' development and comes with a more structured commitment and team-selection process.

What to expect

Team Selections/Tryouts starting in September

Players will participate in tryouts beginning in September, and teams will be selected based on the players' current stage of development and overall fit within the program.

Selections are required

Every player who wants to be considered for the U12 team must register and participate in the tryout process. There are no exceptions.

Year-round training

Training will run the entire year - starting in the fall and continuing through August. The goal is to provide consistent development rather than treating each season as a separate program.

Multi-sport athletes are welcome

Players who are balancing another sport must still register and try out like everyone else.

Once teams are selected, families can work together with their team coach to find the best way to balance soccer and other sporting commitments.

September Programming & Tryouts

September will also include some skills training that is separate from the tryouts. You will see these sessions listed as Street Soccer and Agility & Technical. These are simply September development opportunities and are not part of the tryout process.

The actual U12 tryouts will take place during September over 3 separate sessions. Registration for these sessions will be listed in PowerUp as:

2027 Competitive Tryouts

The tryout schedule will be available on our website under the Competitive tab.

Please make sure you register specifically for 2027 Competitive Tryouts if your player wants to be considered for the U12 team.

U12 Parent Meeting

We will also hold a U12 Parent Meeting this Friday, August 21st at 5:30 p.m. at Jim Beattie to go over the U12 program, the season structure, tryouts, and what the transition into the competitive program will look like.

The ATK End of Season Awards Banquet is just around the corner!

Join us in celebrating another successful season at Ban Righ Hall on September 13th 2026

Tickets will be going live on August 21 with the deadline being September 1st!
