Join the Checkers crew for this week’s Track Workout at Williamsville East High School (151 Paradise Rd, East Amherst) on Tuesday, October 6 at 6pm! Whether you’re training for an upcoming race or looking to push your pace alongside friends, this session is designed for runners of all skill levels.

Due to limited parking at Williamsville East, please park at Transit Middle (8730 Transit Rd, East Amherst) and use the path near the basketball courts to go towards the track.

Join us on Saturday, November 14 for the Buffalo Marathon Community Event & Run - a FREE morning bringing together runners, walkers, local run clubs and organizations from across the Buffalo running community.

Choose your distance:
🏃 3–3.5 miles
🏃 5 miles

This is a non-competitive, community-focused run, and all paces are welcome. Run, walk or do a little of both!

After the run, stick around at Banshees Irish Pub to connect with local run clubs and organizations, ask questions, talk training and learn more about the road to Buffalo Marathon Weekend 2027.

Join us for our Checkers September group run tonight (9/16) at 140 Cayuga Road in Williamsville. We will be running part of the Moonlight Run 5k course. Please park on Milton Street or California Drive or in the free parking lot near Main Street.

Come simply to run or join Wendy Guyker’s optional “Shed the Layers” challenge. Think race-day throwaway clothes: layer up before the run, then shed those extra layers and donate them to support our Savers fundraiser. And there’s a little incentive to get into the spirit: a prize goes to the runner who sheds the most layers before we start!

Not a fan of the layering thing? No problem. Just come out for the run and feel free to bring clothing or other accepted donation items to drop off.

We have a fun week coming up!

On Tuesday, September 15 at 6pm at Williamsville East High School (151 Paradise Rd, East Amherst), we will have our weekly Checkers track practice. Don’t miss our final yoga session of the season following Tuesday night track practice. Wendy Guyker will once again lead us through a great post-workout stretch.

On Wednesday, September 16 at 6pm, Wendy will also host a Checkers group run at 140 Cayuga Dr, Williamsville. There will be a "shed the layers" challenge (Think race-day “throwaway clothes”) All you have to layer up, then shed and donate your layers to support our Savers fundraiser. Prize for the runner who sheds the most layers before we start the run. Not into layers, no problem! Just come and enjoy the run!
