Kitimat Marlin Swim Club

The DOK has decided to close the pool early today at 4 PM. All swimming is canceled.

We would like to extend our congratulations to River Newton and Sadie Rego on their outstanding performances at the Swim BC Northern & Interior Divisionals Meet in Vernon, BC this past weekend! 🙌🏽🏊💪🏽

Both athletes achieved top 8 finishes in multiple events within their age categories and top 15 finishes in other events, competing against 42+ swimmers, demonstrating their exceptional skill in competing against the best swimmers!

River also brought home a Bronze medal for the 400 meter freestyle!

These two have been swimming together since they were Mini Marlins, and continue to make the club proud!

🏊‍♀️ Congratulations to Sadie Rego on earning a Bronze Medal at the Terrace Summer Invitational Meet last weekend!

We'd also like to recognize Sadie and River, who will be travelling to Vernon, BC this Thursday to compete at the BC Divisional Championships after achieving their qualifying times this season.

Your hard work, dedication, and commitment in the pool have paid off, and we are proud to see you represent the Marlins on the provincial stage.

💙Thank you to everyone who helped make the Regional Swim Camp a success here in Kitimat, BC!

It was great to see coaches, volunteers, and our wider community come together to support swimmer development and regional collaboration. A special thank you to Richard Hortness, Olympian from Alberta, for sharing his experience and inspiring our swimmers.

Huge thanks as well to Marlins coach Jadyn, along with all participating coaches, for the care, encouragement, and leadership shown to our younger swimmers throughout the camp.
