Stanley Cup Returns to Thunder Bay

Hockey fans will have the opportunity to celebrate with Thunder Bay’s own Stanley Cup champion, Jordan Staal, when he brings the Stanley Cup home for a special community event.

🏒 Saturday August 8, 2026
🏒 10:30am to 12:30pm (doors open at 10:00)
🏒 Thunder Bay Community Auditorium, 1 Paul Shaffer Drive

Hosted in partnership with the City of Thunder Bay, the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium, and the Northwestern Ontario Sports Hall of Fame, the event will give residents and visitors an opportunity to have their photo taken with the Stanley Cup and Jordan Staal.

The event is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 10:00 am, with the event running from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Due to time constraints and anticipated attendance, autographs will not be available. Entry is based on arrival, and the lineup may be closed before 12:30 pm if capacity is reached. Attendance does not guarantee a photo opportunity.
