A long-time Diamond Edge athlete and current Red Deer Rangers BAEL player, Owen has earned a reputation for his exceptional baseball IQ, elite speed, relentless work ethic, and team-first mindset. Having competed on the Western Canadian stage, he understands what it takes to perform at a high level—and he’s passionate about sharing that knowledge with the next generation.

Whether he’s leading a drill, encouraging younger athletes, or demonstrating the details that separate good players from great ones, Owen brings energy, professionalism, and leadership to every session.

A product of Central Alberta baseball and a long-time Diamond Edge athlete, Zach has earned opportunities through years of hard work, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. His accomplishments include representing Canada as a Junior National Team athlete, earning 2024 Baseball Alberta Elite League Rookie of the Year honours, competing as a Blue Jays T12 Showcase athlete, and committing to University of Michigan.

While Zach continues to pursue his own goals at the highest levels of the game, he is equally passionate about helping young athletes develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game.

Zach understands what it takes to move from local baseball to the national stage because he’s living that journey every day. His leadership, work ethic, and willingness to give back make him an incredible role model for the next generation of athletes.

As our Director of Baseball, Jeff leads every aspect of our player development system, from pitching and hitting to long-term athlete growth. His passion for the game, attention to detail, and commitment to building confident, disciplined athletes have helped countless players reach the next level.

Diamond Edge Baseball is proud to officially welcome Coach Crystal to our coaching staff through our partnership with Optimized Performance.

Coach Crystal is passionate about helping athletes unlock their full potential through evidence-based strength and conditioning, mobility, injury resilience, and athletic performance training. Her mission is simple: provide Central Alberta athletes with access to elite-level sport science and coaching without having to leave their community.

With years of experience working alongside high-performance athletes, teams, and organizations, Coach Crystal brings a wealth of knowledge that will help Diamond Edge athletes build strength, move more efficiently, reduce injury risk, and perform at their highest level.
