Full house. Thanks to all who made the trip in for this experience. It's a pleasure to have made many friends in the sport over the years, and it's an honor to have you come push the next generation of students with us.

Congrats again to Adam, Rob and Ryan for leaving it all on the mats tonight in their shark tank and demonstrating a wide array of technique before. Well deserved promotions for all.

The team was not only out competing but also had multiple members working the mats reffing. We all want events but without dedicated individuals to put in the time to not just learn the sport as a competitor but as an official as well, we don't get events. Thanks to Drew for running the show and those who hoped in to keep it all running.

One last shout out to the team. We had three of our younger teammates hit the mats this weekend. First off, Ethan through down for Silver in a great performance. Elizabeth improved since her last event but came up short of the podium.

And I want to take a min and give a big congrats to Jaxson for his performance. It's been a bit since his last event and the absolute grit and growth shown in his matches this time around made me so proud as a coach. He had some very tough opponents and was in some bad spots in a few matches, and in all honesty, he suffered through and persevered in spots he likely would have given up in the past. Not all growth leads to the podium every time but his determination was a shining example of what Jiu-Jitsu provides us in learning to challenge our own limits.

Congrats to our younger competitors, and I look forward to seeing you all back in class this week to keep working on our next challenge.

Next, I wanted to shout out the whole Central AB BJJ team. The crew was out in force to help set up, take down, volunteer on tables, and reff this event. I know Drew appreciates all the help, and both Lucas and I wanted to thank all our members for putting in the time to help make Sub ace work out as smooth as it did. The largest competitor base the event has had yet and it flew through at a great pace.

First up a huge shout out to this absolute corn fed beast. busts his ass in the gym and it paid off for him. Not only did he score gold in his division at , he then went on to handedly secure the finish in the white belt absolute. Huge congrats on the shiny new hardware.
