⚠️ 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 ⚠️

The roof replacement project is progressing, but unforeseen challenges have affected the construction schedule.

The Gymnasium and Fitness Studio are now tentatively expected to reopen 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟴, subject to construction progress and weather conditions.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:

➡️ Programs that are affected will be postponed until September 28. Staff will contact registered participants directly.
➡️ Drop-in activities in the Gymnasium and Fitness Studio will remain cancelled until these spaces reopen.
➡️ The Pool is scheduled to reopen September 8 as scheduled.
➡️ The Fitness Centre remains open and is not impacted by the construction delays.

💡 Not all registered programs are impacted. Only participants in programs that are impacted will be contacted.

🚧 Facility Notice: Temporary Parking & Building Access Changes 🚧

Please be advised that a crane will be on site tomorrow morning to remove equipment from the roof at the facility. As a result, temporary changes will be in place for parking and building access.

✅ Upper parking lot will be closed

Build strength, flexibility and balance in this energizing Vinyasa Flow class that links breath and movement in a smooth, continuous sequence. Heads up, ! The wooden play structure at Brown Drive Park and Kinsmen Playground is being replaced beginning August 24. 🛝

Here's what is happening ⬇️

𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟒
Construction fencing will be installed around the wooden play structure, and the area will be closed. Crews will demolish and remove the existing wooden structure and construct a new accessible ramp.

𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟒
Installation of the new play structure is expected to begin.

⚠️ The area where the existing wooden play structure is located will be closed to the public while construction is underway. ⚠️

Once complete, the new play structure will feature durable metal components and improved accessibility, creating a more inclusive and long-lasting play space for the community.

The existing wooden structure is being replaced after significant dry rot was identified in several of its components.

The new play structure is anticipated to reopen to the public approximately two weeks after construction begins, subject to construction progress and site conditions.

The Town appreciates the community’s patience while this work is completed and looks forward to providing an improved play space for local families and residents.
