What a great weekend at Langford Bikefest! Racers of all ages and skills came out to the Jordie Lunn Bike Park for the Island Cup XC #1. We're looking forward to seeing everyone again for the Kazlow Canadian XCC/XCO Mountain Bike Championships in July!

Langford Bikefest is pedaling in this weekend! Head to Langford Bikefest (Fall Edition) and experience the trails that will be used for the 2025 Canadian MTB Championships! It's set to be a weekend full of fun. 🚲

September 7 - Broad St Cycles XCC Short Track
September 8 - Rhino Coffee Super XC

There are race categories for youth, masters, amateur open adult, pro/expert adult.

The grand opening of the Jordie Lunn Bike Park Clubhouse & Out of Hand trail is tomorrow, June 12th! The new hub brings opportunities for community gatherings, bike rentals, and enjoying a snack after a hiking or biking adventure.

The Clubhouse features:

✅Bike rentals, repairs, and sales from Broad Street Cycles
✅Rhino Coffee House Langford’s second Langford location
✅Office and programmable space for Cycling BC, Cycling Canada, and Nolan Riding

Langford Bikefest: Spring Break Edition is coming to Jordie Lunn Bike Park from March 29 to 31! The Jordie Pump Jam will take place on the Velosolutions pump track, seeing riders line up in a time trial format and drop into a maze of berms and rollers, each racing to cross the finish line with the fastest time.

Please be advised that the Creekside Trail parking lot at the Jordie Lunn Bike Park will be closed for approximately 3 weeks to allow for the Irwin Road Improvements Capital Project.

A new multi-use trail is opening at The Gravity Zone in Jordie Lunn Bike Park tomorrow, February 2nd! The new trail is called "Steam Donkey" and is for hiking and uphill mountain biking only. Access is at the new parking lot at 4200 West Shore Parkway.

The trail is a winding ascent which takes you through beautiful west coast scenery, bringing you to the top of the park where you can access many of the available trails in the Gravity Zone.

⚠️TRAFFIC ADVISORY: West Shore Parkway, 500m South from Commander Court⚠️

Windley Contracting will be blasting along West Shore Parkway to accommodate future water main works approximately 500m south of Commander Court.

Intermittent stoppages of both northbound and southbound traffic on West Shore Parkway adjacent to the work area can be expected during the blasting operations which will take place as shown below. For safety reasons, traffic will be stopped in both directions anywhere between 2 and 5 minutes during each blast.

Blasting operations are planned for the following times, please plan your route accordingly:

Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 11:00AM and 1:00PM
Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 10:30AM, 12:30PM, and 2:30PM
Friday, February 2, 2024, at 10:30AM, 12:30PM, and 2:30PM
Digital message board signage has been inplace for a week and will be relocated closer to Sooke Road and Langford Parkway to notify traffic of the expected delays.

Ongoing water main works along the roadside in this area will take place until March 2024.

Traffic in both directions will be maintained during the duration of the water main works. Delays may be expected, motorists please be aware.

Certified traffic control will be on-site to direct vehicle traffic and the users of the Gravity zone bike trail will be notified of any interruptions. We apologize for the inconvenience.
