⚡️Zoomin’ - someone who is looking for a swift pace, anywhere between ~5-5:30, with no stops, and offers opportunities for a second lap. Chatting optional!
⚡️Groovin’ - someone who is looking for a social/casual pace, anywhere between ~6:30-7:00min/km, and opportunities for stops as the group decides.
⚡️Movin’ - someone who wants to move their body and is looking to take their time, perhaps a newer runner, or coming back from injury!

💛PKOLS beach parking lot washroom at 6pm💛
Leah will be leading the trail enthusiasts for a loop around PKOLS - we’ll be starting at 6pm, ending roughly at 7 pm. We typically run on flat/downhill sections and walk up the inclines. If you’re feeling keen, you can run up to the summit after the loop, but make sure you bring a headlamp!
For these runs, make sure to have a pair of running shoes with good tread that can grip a variety of surfaces (gravel, dirt, roots, and rocks). If you find yourself needing water, it is recommended to bring a hydration vest.
We’ll meet at the public washrooms in the PKOLS Beach Parking lot (4501 Cordova Bay Rd, Victoria, BC V8N 2S8).
Welcoming all paces for these runs! They are a spring/summer highlight!

⚡️Movin’ - someone who wants to move their body and is looking to take their time, perhaps a newer runner, or coming back from injury!
VQRC is a “no drop” club. This means that every 1.5km or so, we take a to regroup and take a breather. If you feel like the run is out of your capacity, then there is also the option to cut it shorter and turn around, no questions asked! As the club grows, we will have groups to accommodate various paces/goals, but right now we’re welcoming everyone, no matter the experience. 🌈

May is here and this season is all about blossoming! Flowers and all 🪻🌷🌸🌼 What does it mean to blossom??
Read for the VQRC Rundown:
🌸Monday: Monday runs will continue for a 6:00pm start, and alternate around Victoria with bi-weekly starting points at Moka House on Cook St! The evenings are BRIGHT now! These runs will be led by, Ruth & Kelsey & Emily-Anne with rotating leads 🫶🏼❤️🔥
🌸Wednesdays: the Q***rs in Westshore are hitting the ground running and will be meeting at Outpost Boardgame Cafe for a 5:30pm bi-weekly run at Thetis! These runs will be led by Jesse and Ami🤠
🌸 Thursday PKOLS Trail Runs: we are swapping Saturdays for Thursdays, and will be hitting the trails every week for trail runs at PKOLS! Routes will be posted, and they will be so fun!! These runs will be led by Emma-Bethany, so expect running into your flow state 🧘🏼♀️👟🌳
🍀Walking Group!
Every week at VQRC Mondays, VQRC will be hosting a Meet & Move Walking Group, intending to foster connection and provide an inclusive space for those who are looking to move lightly, run-curious, coming back from injury, or even a way to get out of the house and shake the winter blues! These walks will be about 40-45 mins (3km-ish), ending roughly around the same time as the run route. These will be led by Leah!
🍀8-10km Running Route Option!
Once a month on Mondays, we will have a longer route option for those who are looking for the extra road running distance! If this option is highly desirable, then we will gradually implement the longer route options more frequently throughout the year. This option will start at the same time as the 5-6km option that is typically offered.
As a reminder, VQRC is a free ‘no drop’ run club, which means no one gets left behind. Share the news & the calendar with your peeps! Can’t wait to welcome you!
