Our 2026 race season is officially over! This weekend we raced the annual Turkey Night race at LQMA - Langley Quarter Midget Association 🦃

We decided to do something we haven’t done all year, run Senior Honda! Both boys ran one car each so we could have fun and enjoy the weekend. Here’s how they did ⤵️

Saturday Heats

I also tried something new and flagged the four red plate heat races! Was fun to try something new 🏳️🏁 Jackson loves this one so was cool to flag for him 😎

📣Points Race #10 - Series Finale Recap

The weather held up for the last points race of the season yesterday. We had some intense battles as the points in each class were sooo close! Here’s how the boys did:

🔥HEATS
Jr Honda - P6 to P6
Sr Animal - P3 to P3 🥉

Jr Honda - P6 to P6

🏆CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS 🏆

Jr Honda - Gavin landed in 6th place overall which we are so proud of in his first season in this competitive class! Can’t wait to see what he does next season! Congrats to Colton on the championship!

Sr Animal - Jackson is 2nd overall in this class. Was a tough season battling it out but he was consistently up front chasing those checkered flags. Congrats to ESR- Strobel Racing on the championship win!

Light 160 - Jackson finished 4th overall in this class. This one we struggled in all season long and just couldn’t find the speed to be at the front. Congrats to McDermott Racing on the championship win!

Light World Formula -Jackson finished 2nd overall. We went into the final race weekend holding the lead by just 4 points. With our not so great heat finish, second place in the main was a point shy of keeping the lead. Congrats to McDermott Racing on the championship win!

We are so impressed with Gavin’s driving! Going from P8 to the podium was no easy task! He was in P3 until a car got him on a last lap! Was a great race!

Jackson drove his ass off today! He’s fighting for championship podiums and it’s coming down to the wire so every point counts! The 160 race was an unfortunate chain of events but getting those good results in the animal and world are what we needed 🙌

Saturday - Points Race #7

The weekend started with a decision to drop the animal for Gavin and finish the season off with 4 cars. He wasn’t into it and we weren’t into running 5 cars if the kids didn’t want to! Easy choice.

The day started off ok and ended on a pretty big low. The weather was tricky all weekend and we just had that world set up too loose.

Sunday - Points Race #8

Today was qualifying instead of heat races. The weather was cloudy and cool which is never great for qualifying. The track was cold 🥶

Jr Honda - 8th out of 10
Sr Animal - 4th out of 7
Lt 160 - 5th out of 9
Lt World - 4th out of 6

We didn’t get the qualifying results we were hoping for but the boys came back strong in the mains landing all four cars in impound and on the podium! Gavin has really stepped it up and is keeping up with the front runners and Jackson drove smart and fierce today. We’re so proud of both boys 💙❤️

The day started off pretty good but we fell off a bit in the mains. We’ve got some work to do on the cars to get them where they need to be to stay competitive. Jackson drove great despite not having the speed in his animal and 160 and is killing it in his world! He really loves driving this car and it shows! Gavin had some work to do after some not so great pill draws, but raced really well! He’s gaining some confidence when making passes and we see that progress happening which is key!

Our next points races are in the same weekend! A double header on August 29th and 30th for points races 7 & 8 at LQMA - Langley Quarter Midget Association

Gavin held his own and had an awesome Honda race. He’s still struggling in the animal but is giving it his all and trying! Jackson was fast and had his first rollover of the season. Thankfully the car survived it and he came back to finish second. Think it was the animal race but honestly I don’t even remember 😵‍💫

Gavin was rocking it in his Honda race. A bad call got him sent to the back when he was running in fourth 😫
Jackson was a rocket 🚀 in his world formula! Once he got to the front he took off and had a half track lead for most of the race, eventually catching the back of the pack and lapping a car. Was a well earned win for him and were so proud of how he drove today!

Next up will be points race #6 on August 8th at LQMA - Langley Quarter Midget Association
