The portfolio size. The revenue goals. The metrics that could be counted, measured, and compared.
But somewhere along the way, a quiet question started showing up: "๐๐ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ ๐ฎ๐น๐น ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ถ๐?"
If you're a woman in midlife, maybe that sounds familiar.
We've been handed a very narrow definition of wealth. A number on a spreadsheet. A title on a business card. The size of a retirement account.
What if true wealth isn't just about what you have, but about how you live?
Here's what we've learned: a rich life is built on five interconnected pillars. Each one supports and amplifies the others.
Not about being "rich" in the traditional sense. It's about peace, security, and financial agency. It's training your nervous system to believe you are safe and capable.
Your body and mind are your most precious, non-renewable assets. Rest isn't a luxury. It's a financial strategy.
True wealth is having genuine agency over how you spend your days. Moving from constantly busy to intentionally effective.
Our connections give life texture and joy. Financial peace allows you to be generous with your most valuable asset: your full, present attention.
The "why" that fuels everything else. The deep satisfaction of knowing your work is a direct expression of your core values.
When you nurture all five pillars instead of chasing a single number, you build a life that is not just financially successful, but deeply, holistically, and undeniably rich.
Which pillar are you ready to invest in next?

You already have financial skills.
You just haven't named them yet.
When you're standing in the grocery aisle, weighing the organic option against the budget-friendly one?
When you skip the impulse buy because it doesn't align with what matters most to you?
When you choose to fix the car instead of booking the weekend getaway?
These aren't just life choices.
They're the exact same skills wealth advisors get paid six figures to use.
The difference?
They call it "financial planning." You call it "getting through the week."
Here's how to bridge that gap:
List three things you're naturally good at managingโmaybe it's your family's schedule, a tight grocery budget, or keeping your kids' activities organized.
What skills make me good at this?
Chances are, you'll write down things like: anticipating needs, comparing options, staying flexible, and planning ahead.
Pick one money task you've been avoidingโmaybe it's reviewing your insurance or opening that investment account.
If this were meal planning (or project managing, or trip planning), how would I approach it?"
Break it into the same steps you'd use for something you're confident doing.
The method works. You just haven't permitted yourself to trust it.
Make one financial decisionโany sizeโand afterward, write down every skill you used.
I bet you'll surprise yourself.
Which one are you trying first? Tell me in the comments ๐

That day never comes.
โ Schedule a 5-minute money dateโjust one credit card statement. Just glance at your bank balance. Set a timer. When it goes off, you're done.
โ Automate one thing today. Even $25 to savings. One bill payment. Anything that removes future decisions.
โ Celebrate that you showed up. Not what the numbers say. That you looked.
Because breaking this cycle isn't about perfection, it's about showing up with compassion.

Here's what we've learned after years of financial coaching: financial procrastination isn't about discipline.
It's about shame, fear, overwhelm, or perfectionism.
You're waiting for that magical day when you have a full afternoon, a perfectly clear head, and the focus of a zen master to tackle your entire financial life at once.
That day never comes.
So we teach a different way:

Because breaking this cycle isn't about perfection. It's about showing up with compassionโfor yourself, for your financial reality, for the journey ahead.
You don't need a complete financial overhaul. You need one small, brave step.

This is your permission slip to ask for help.
You CAN'T do it all by yourself. And you don't have to.
Women often feel like they must do it all - keep all the balls in the air, wear all the hats. It's impossible. And you know it.
This is your permission slip to create a team of people to support you, raise you up and make you better.
Outsource when you can. Hire when you can. Pass it on when you can.
What is one thing in your business that you would LOVE to give to someone else to do?

With one in six employees experiencing mental ill health, organizations are โ now more than ever โ expected to have measures in place supporting workplace wellbeing. Nike, for example, hit headlines in August last year for giving its staff a week-long mental health break. But what can smaller businesses, with limited time, money and resources, do to help their staff?
How to support employees' mental health
We asked Dr Nick Taylor, a clinical psychologist and co-founder of workplace mental health platform Unmind, for some practical advice on how to better take care of staff.

My number one tip when it comes to time management is something that women are almost always guilty of doing - STOP MULTI-TASKING.
Many people fool themselves into thinking they are good at multitasking, but very few few can focus on more than one or two tasks at a time, particularly if they require focus and depth.
Don't fool yourself into believing you are getting more done when in reality you are accomplishing less than you would if you did one thing at a time and the quality of the work is poor.
Really efficient people know that concentrated effort with few distractions leads to better work product in faster times (why do you think most people say they get more done before or after hours in the office).
Don't waste time by having to do things over again. Concentrate on one task at a time and do it well before moving onto the next. You will be amazed at how much more work you actually get done in a day!

Why are positive affirmations so important?
When youโre trying to make a leap in your life, negative thoughts about this decision may occur. Your daily thoughts can impact the level of success you attain.
You may find yourself questioning everything you do! You may even be concerned about what other people think about your decisions.
If you often tell yourself that you cannot achieve something, then youโre going to convince yourself that itโs true! You must stop doing this! Youโre paralyzing yourself with fear, and you wonโt make progress with your goals.
If you donโt believe in yourself, then how can you expect others to believe in you?
Saying (or writing down) daily positive affirmations help you feel confident, and in turn, help you achieve your goals.
