More behind-the-scenes magic from Photo Week! 📸 We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again… Photo Week is the best, and seeing our dancers shine makes it even better! ✨💚

Flipping into Day Four of Photo Week! 🤸💙

A quick reminder to help keep everyone safe and things running smoothly for dancers, families, and our neighbouring businesses:

Drop off is at the back of the building (Studio D back door), and pick up is at the front of LDA. If possible, please drop off and return once photos are finished to reduce parking lot congestion, and avoid waiting or loitering in the lot.

Please drive slowly and stay alert at all times, watch for pedestrians, and use designated parking spots around the building, including along the back fence. Avoid blocking bay doors, parking in aisles, or stopping in marked no stopping areas.

Safety always comes first, thank you for your care and cooperation dance families!

What a weekend at GDS Provincials! We are beyond proud of our dancers for their hard work, passion, and unforgettable performances on stage. Congratulations to all of our students, teachers, and families. There is so much for celebrate! 💙🩵

Get ready for your close up, dance families! 📸✨

Tomorrow is day one of Photo Week and we can’t wait to see all of our beautiful dancers shine in front of the camera!

A few tips & tricks to help the week run smoothly:
• Arrive photo ready with hair, makeup, and costume on
• Double check tights, shoes, and accessories before leaving home
• Bring a water bottle and a small snack if needed
• Please arrive a few minutes early so dancers feel calm and prepared
• Most importantly… SMILE and have fun! 💖

✨ RECREATIONAL STUDENT OF THE MONTH: ISABELLE R. ✨

Isabelle has been such a wonderful addition to the LDA family! Her kindness, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn shine through in every class she attends. She always comes to dance ready to work hard and give her very best effort. Her bright energy makes the studio an even happier place to be!

✨ COMPETITIVE STUDENT OF THE MONTH: KAILEY P. ✨

Kailey continues to impress us with her strong work ethic, determination, and passion for dance. She approaches every class with focus and a willingness to challenge herself, always striving to improve and grow as a dancer. Whether she’s in class, rehearsing, or cheering on her teammates, Kailey brings positivity and dedication everywhere she goes.

Congratulations to both of these amazing dancers! Your dedication, positivity, and passion for dance make us so proud every single day!

✨ Say hello to Miss Alicia, the newest member of the LDA dream team! ✨

Miss Alicia brings a blend of professionalism, experience, and genuine care to every class she teaches. She is a Registered Teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). Alicia completed the RAD’s Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies and graduated from Simon Fraser University with a degree in Business Administration, receiving Distinction.

Alicia is a Licentiate Member of the Canadian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA) in Stage (Tap), Ballet, and Modern. She participated in the Association of International Dance Teachers Modern Examinations and completed her AIDT Gold Higher Tap Examination, receiving Honours with Distinction at age 15.
Alicia participates in professional development throughout the year, with a strong emphasis on education from dance physiotherapists. This allows her to stay current with the safest and most effective approaches to dancer training, including warm-up habits, strength and preparation for pointe work, and flexibility.

As a student, Alicia trained and competed in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Stage, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, and Latin. This diverse background allows her to connect with dancers of all interests. Some of her most memorable performance experiences include Disneyland, California Adventure Park, Norwegian Cruise Lines, and the 2010 Olympic Opening Ceremonies.

We are so thrilled to have Miss Alicia as part of our team, and we can’t wait for you to meet her in the studio! ❤️

Huge congratulations to these lovely dancers on receiving their pointe shoes! 🩰✨ What a special milestone and such a huge accomplishment after all of your hard work, dedication, and perseverance.

We are so proud of each of you and cannot wait to watch you continue to grow and shine in your ballet journey! 💕
