IMPORTANT SCHEDULE INFO

Hey Yoga for Hockey Crew,

For those of you who don't follow my personal account (.yogi) on Instagram, you might not have heard that I'm up against some health challenges.

I was initially diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and it looks like I'll be going through it all again.

Teaching yoga to driven athletes is one of my favourite things in the world and I wanted to thank you for sticking around here so I can continue to do that! You all inspire me every single day.

Our schedule might be a little different going into the winter but again, I wanted to thank you for being so understanding on the weeks where there are no live classes.

Be sure to put on those replays and to keep moving your body!

Can't wait to see you on your mat soon,

Kelsey ๐Ÿค

๐Ÿ’ Ready to dominate on the ice? ๐Ÿฅ… Don't forget the power of dynamic stretching! ๐Ÿ’ช Dynamic stretches like leg swings, arm circles, and high knees warm up your muscles and increase your range of motion. ๐Ÿ”„ They're key for preventing injuries and enhancing performance on the rink. Lace up those skates and stay flexible, my fellow hockey warriors! ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ’™

Athletes, take your recovery to the next level with myofascial release using a road hockey ball! ๐ŸŽพ๐Ÿ’ช Myofascial release is a form of self-massage that can help to release muscle tension, improve range of motion, and reduce pain. Using a hockey ball is an inexpensive and easy way to target specific areas of the body, such as the shoulders, back, and hips. Incorporate it into your warm-up and cool-down routine for best results. ๐Ÿ’ช

Hockey players, don't underestimate the importance of stretching. Not only does it prevent injury, but it also improves flexibility and range of motion on the ice. Make sure to include a dynamic warm-up and targeted stretches for your hips, quads, and shoulders before each game or practice. Your body will thank you! ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’ช

In this class, we learn a few ways to improve plantar flexion (just a fancy name for that final little toe push at the end of your stride). Mastering this will create maximum efficiency for your stride.
