Highway 1 from Langley to Abbotsford Could Become a Protected Bikeway
The deadline to submit feedback is Friday, September 15.As a part of the Fraser Valley Highway 1 Corridor Improvement Program, the Provincial government is investing in improvements to active transportation along this corridor. This is an example of a cycle highway which will help make progress toward the Government of BC’s goal to double the number of active transportation trips by 2030, reduce vehicle kilometres travelled, and protect against climate-induced crises like atmospheric rivers.

🧐 BAR & SHIFTER POSITION 🧐
One of the most commonly overlooked parts of the bike, that often results in HUGE problems if not set up correctly.
It pains me to say that this customer came to us after having had 2 visits to another un-named Bike Fitter. They were suffering with hand numbness (shock 🙄) which hadn’t been resolved with the previous fit.
Hopefully this example gives you an idea of what to look for with your own setup 👍

Maximum power output, as elite cyclists, must balancing between the two types of muscle fibres: slow-twitch (Type I) muscle fibres and fast-twitch (Type II) muscle fibres.
Slow-twitch fibres contract slowly, can be used for longer periods of time – ideal for endurance athletes – and rely on oxygen as their main energy source.
Fast-twitch fibres contract quickly, provide strength and speed – ideal for sprinting – and fatigue more quickly than slow-twitch fibres. https://www.trainingpeaks.com/blog/muscle-fibers-and-cycling/
