JORELL'S 5 YEARS AT VF!
Five years ago, Jorell became the first candidate in VF history to interview from out of province over Zoom, which was a pretty big leap of faith considering he was also planning a move to BC.
I still remember his onboarding, when Jazmin put him through a workout that ended with Jorell lying on the floor for about 30 minutes questioning every decision that had brought him to Vaughan’s Fitness. Somehow, he came back the next day… and the rest is history.
Over the past five years, Jorell has become one of the most trusted, respected and genuinely loved members of the VF team. His loyalty, dedication, kindness and authenticity have never wavered, while his knowledge and abilities have continued to grow into those of a truly exceptional kinesiologist.
He has helped countless clients become stronger, healthier and more confident, and has made an enormous impact on both their lives and the lives of his teammates.
We’ve also had the privilege of watching Jorell grow outside of VF.
He went from essentially starting from scratch with distance running, to completing the Vancouver Sun Run 10K… then apparently deciding that wasn’t painful enough and progressing to half marathons and eventually the BMO full marathon.
He moved to BC to begin this journey with us, built a life here, got engaged, and in late 2025 married his beautiful wife, Alyann. I’ll always remember the excitement when he came in telling us the story of his proposal, including scrambling and jumping across rocks at Whytecliff Park to get to the perfect spot - what a romantic 😉
Jorell also pursues his noble pursuit of becoming a D&D dungeon master, including campaigns with friends, and VF clients - Andrew and Ryan.
But most importantly, for five straight years Jorell has shown up for the people around him.
He leads by example. He cares deeply about his clients. He continues to learn and improve and push his clients to new heights, while improving their quality of life and achieving their deserved goals.
Jorell, we are lucky to have had you as part of VF for the last 5 years.
Thank you for your loyalty, your friendship and everything you bring to Vaughan's Fitness

A long overdue introduction to VF kinesiologist Isaiah.
Growing up in Delta, athletics were a constant in Isaiah's life. His passion toward football helped discover his love for exercise and health, a provincial championship and unfortunate injuries. Isaiah discovered that he enjoyed working with physiotherapists and kinesiologists while recovering from his injuries since they used exercise as a therapy to treat the body in various ways.
His studies were accelerated by this newfound enthusiasm, leading him to get a diploma in Sports Science from Douglas College, which evolved into a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia. During his time at UBC, he spent time working as an Student Athletic Trainer where he worked alongside the Mens and Womens basketball teams. To excel in this role, he developed proficiency in preventative athletic taping and thorough body assessments, along with certifications in First Aid, CPR, BSL, and HeadCheck. His most important takeaway was that becoming a client-centered student trainer at UBC requires more than just technical skills. Isaiah applies his knowledge of technical abilities to his work as a kinesiologist, demonstrating compassion and devotion that contributes to the success of the individuals he works with.
Outside of working with collegiate level athletes, Isaiah has also worked with children with chronic diseases such as cerebral palsy and autism, a 40+ rugby team and also with the Special Olympics athletes as a coach. In his free time, Isaiah continues to give his time back to the sport he loves as a football coach, strength and conditioning coach, and an athletic trainer at his previous , .

We have been quiet on IG for a while but the amazing sessions and success stories continue!
Here is kin Jenessa taking her clients Diane and Vanessa for a warm up run through the neighboring Campbell Valley Park.
Switching it up and keeping things fresh is part of a sustainable approach, which is the key to a greater quality of life.
Well Done Vanessa and Diane!
