Set up a home/work environment that supports consistent healthy choices. ✔ ✔

Emphasize simplicity: Visibility = Frequency.

Make It Easy, Make It Obvious!

ACTION PLAN:

Choose 3 areas in your daily environment to optimize and support your goals: kitchen, gym space, digital space, home office, office at work, your car etc.

Remove the temptations, prep healthy options and lay out the gear/tools/equipment etc. to make the healthy choice the default, obvious, and easiest choice.

That's it! ⭐

Example - Kitchen:

Pre-wash and prep fruits and veggies in clear containers in the Fridge.

Stock visible Grab n Go protein options in the Fridge (boiled eggs, yogurt, cooked chicken, protein bites).

Remove the processed snacks and sugary drinks from the Fridge and/or the Pantry.

Place healthy staples at eye level in your Pantry (oats, quinoa, brown rice, nuts).

Keep your blender, air fryer, or slow cooker out and accessible for easier Meal Prep and easy Smoothies.

Keep Supplements and Protein Powder on the counter for easier access and an easy visible reminder.

Display your Weekly Meal Plan on the Fridge so that you know exactly what you have prepped and what you are eating for each meal and snack!

These are just some of the ways that your environment can work for you, instead of working against you!

Functional Balance Training on a Bosu contributes to skilled movement by training not only stabilizing or static muscular contributions, but also training dynamic movement patterns simultaneously. 

When using the Bosu, the whole body is challenged to participate in order to maintain correct posture and balance while moving. This type of fitness is easily transferred to daily tasks, recreation and sport. Incorporating the Bosu into your training program can provide improvements in functional fitness as well as improvements in athletic skill development. 

By using Unstable Surfaces in our training, we create learning opportunities via proprioceptive feedback that is provided instantly with regard to positioning, mobility, stability, body control and force. 

With the Bosu you can practice being out of balance in a relatively controlled environment, which gives you a better chance to respond with a reflexive righting response in the real world. 💪✨
