Langley Spring Classic Tournament
Langley Chess Club is pleased to announce their spring classic tournament. This is a CFC rated tournament starting on April 13.
Brookswood Senior Centre, 19899 – 36 Ave, Langley.
CFC Rated. Chess Federation of Canada (CFC) membership required.
$50 first prize.
Open to Club Members and Non-Members.
April 13, 20 and 27 and May 4 and 11
Each Monday night one round will be played.
5 rounds in total
Time Control is 60 minutes with a 15 second increment
Start time 7 PM
$20 entry fee for Langley Chess Club members. For non-members the fee is $30 or $25 prior to April 7.

Langley Winter Quad Tournament
Langley Chess Club is pleased to announce their winter quad tournament. This is a CFC rated tournament starting on February 23. Players will be classified into groups of four. Each player will play two games with each of the other players in the group.

Open to Club Members and Non-Members.
Each Monday night one round will be played. Rounds are on February 23 and March 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30

Entry fee is $20 for Langley Chess Club members. For non-members the fee is $30 ($25 prior to February 17). For those wishing to join or renew membership in the club the fee is $50 which includes free entry to this tournament.

The event is free and there will be a prize for the top puzzler. The idea is to introduce new players to the club, have some fun competition and learn some new ideas.

November 3 Blitz Tournament: Open to all. 20 player limit. But you need to pre-register!
Cost: $10 (Free for Langley Chess Club members)
Rounds: 7, with a short break at 8:00 PM
Start Time: Please arrive by 7:00 PM to secure your spot.
Time Control: 5 minutes/2 seconds (using a delay, not an increment).
All equipment provided.
Prizes: First place finisher wins $60. If they are a not a Club Member, then a special prize of $30 goes to the top Club Member. If a Club member wins first place, they get $60 and $30 goes to the next best result (regardless of Club status).

Langley Open 2025 - The club’s premier event is jointly organized by Langley Chess Club and Fraser Valley Chess Academy and will be held over the Labour Day long weekend. Location is Christian Life Assembly Church, 21277 56 Avenue. This is a CFC rated tournament with two rounds per day. Time Control is 90 minutes with a 30 second increment. The entry fee is $115+GST until August 28 . Early bird registration is $100 + GST until July 14. Prize fund of $4000 based on 150 entries. Three divisions – Open, Under 1700 and under 1000.
