Monday was a difficult day for Canadian sports media.
Our thoughts are with the talented broadcasters, producers, operators and staff whose careers were impacted by the closure of Sportsnet 650.
For many years, Sportsnet 650 played an important role in sharing our team's story with fans across the Lower Mainland. Their contribution will always be appreciated.
To everyone affected, thank you for all you've done. The outpouring of appreciation is a reflection of the respect you've earned, and we wish you every success in the future.
We also know how much our broadcasts mean to our fans. We are actively exploring new options to ensure our supporters can continue following the team throughout the season, and we'll share more details as soon as we're able.
