Getting bored of just your regular old squats? Try adding split squats or Bulgarian split squats (pictured above) to your workout routine.
Myself, like many others, have a love hate relationship with Bulgarian split squats. If you don’t know why, give them a go yourself so that you can join the club too!

I train so that I can continue to play hard. Whether that’s playing with my nephew, going on a hike, playing in a lacrosse game, running away from zombies...you name it, I’ll be ready for it! So what’s your why?

Let’s talk hydration! 💧
Why is staying hydrated so important? See below for some of the reasons why drinking enough water is so important:
1️⃣ it helps protect your tissues and joints 💪🏻
2️⃣ it boosts energy 💥
3️⃣ it aids in cognitive functioning 🧠
4️⃣ it helps fight off illness 💊
5️⃣ it helps to keep you regular 💩
On average you should be drinking between 2-5L of water per day. Are you getting enough water?

4 out of 5 adult Canadians will experience at least one episode of back pain at some point in their lives.
Pretty astounding number if you ask me. So who wants to learn how to protect their back? 🙋🏻♀️
Posterior chain strength is crucial to do so. This mostly includes strengthening of the calves, hamstrings, glutes, lats, and erector spinae.
For some this may sound a little complicated and if you find yourself scratching your head wondering what the heck I’m talking about, come see me for a posterior chain strengthening session!
