It was so wonderful to celebrate Truth and Reconciliation Day by dancing our truths together with our Danceworks family. 🧡

I am so incredibly proud of each and every one of our students—their kindness, honesty, openness, and beautiful spirits continue to inspire us every day.

As dancers, it is difficult to imagine the pain of having your ability to dance, share your traditions, express your culture, and tell your stories through movement taken away from you. Dance is such a deeply human form of expression, and we recognize what a privilege it is that we are able to gather together, move freely, and share in the joy of dance.

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn, to listen, and to create a space where everyone can express themselves and share their truths through dance. 🧡
