Congratulations to Sensei Kinjo on 50 years of teaching in Lethbridge!

Students from Taka Karate School displayed their hard work and talents at the beautiful Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden. Everyone did a wonderful job and Sensei is very proud. Thank you to everyone who attended and we hope to see you again next year.

Reminder to current students: dojo is closed June 19 and 20. Regular classes resume on June 21.

Sensei Kinjo and Taka Karate School is celebrating a milestone 50th Anniversary! Sensei Kinjo is honoured and grateful to have had the privilege to teach and share this art for the past 50 years in Canada.

Sensei Kinjo and his students will host a demonstration on Sunday, June 18th, 2023 at 2:00pm at Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens to celebrate with this community.

Taka Karate School is asking everyone to take a moment and consider supporting one of our karate school members. Mitchell Ross and his family have lost their home to a fire on February 24th, 2023.
If able to, there is a go fund me set up to help the Ross family rebuild their life. If you would like to contribute but do not know Mitchell personally, add on “Taka Karate School” with your name so he will know where you are from.

The dojo will open for classes when the province has reached Stage 3. This way we can return to normal class structure, welcome back all current students, and begin registration of new students. Currently, there is potential of Stage 3 opening in July. Registered students and those who have emailed their interest, please look forward to an email closer to when this opening happens.
