Cheer Canada recognizes the call of Martin Luther King, to speak at a time when silence is betrayal. We also recognize that words are completely unable to appropriately capture our sadness, and the sadness of the stakeholders we represent. So, we offer this small post as an attempt to be vocal about what we believe in and to show our support for changes that must be implemented to protect our fellow humans. Cheer Canada has the privilege of representing a large group of diverse athletes from all ethnicities, races, socioeconomic statuses, genders, exceptionalities, languages, religions, sexual orientations, and geographical areas. We take that privilege seriously and work hard every day to create an environment where our athletes feel accepted, safe, welcome, equal, and empowered. Cheer Canada stands for acceptance and diversity and aspires to contribute to a safe place for all.
