I started experiencing symptoms of a bowel disorder when I was 18 years old and to say this had an affect on my body image, is an understatement. I build up so much anger toward my own body. I did not feel comfortable in my own body. I did not feel attractive. The thoughts that would go through my mind were dangerous; things from wanting to cut parts of my body off to starving myself. Want to pursue weight loss ? But learning to accept your CURRENT body?
**double tap❤️**
Is it okay to have weight loss goals, while working on your body image?
The answer … YES BUT …
YES BUT, what are the intentions behind the desire for weight loss?
While we are working toward improving our body image, it’s important not to let our appearance be the driving force for our actions.
Find yourself wanting to change your weight, first ask yourself, “WHY do you want to lose weight?”
If the answer is related to your looks then is may be an indication that you need to dive deeper into the body image/acceptance work, before revisiting this.
If this is you, sign up for a F R E E ⭐️ 1:1 Strategy Call with me.

✨Dealing with B L O A T?✨
UNPOPULAR OPINION: everyone dose! It’s normal!
For me, it can be really hard to accept my body when this is the angle I see everyday.
As someone with IBS, bloating is something I’ve dealt with most of my life and always felt S H A M E over…
🔴”I could wear that if I had a flat stomach”
🔴 “I wish I had a flat stomach”
🔴”people will think I’m pregnant”
🔴”I wish I could just cut it off”
🔴”I have to hide my belly”
🔴”my belly is not attractive”
🔴”to be sexy, I need to have a flat stomach”
These are only just S O M E of the thoughts I use to have and still do sometimes …
As someone with body dysmorphia, constantly seeing yourself from only one angle can really play tricks on your brain.
If this is you, I want to tell you, your negative body image is L Y I N G to you!
You are sexy at every angle. You deserve to be SEEN. You deserve to WEAR WHAT YOU WANT. You deserve to be FREE. You deserve to be CONFIDENT and YOU C A N!
Take it from me; it’s not your body that needs to change; it’s your M I N D 🧠 and guess what, IT CAN! I’m living proof! 👏👏
❤️Save this post for those low self-esteem days. ❤️

Unpopular opinion: the “people” around you, also include those we follow on social media. What does yours look like? 😳
“Choose to surround yourself with good company, these people with support and encourage your path towards your destiny”. Proverbs 13:20
Ever been looking at your feed and felt like CRAP 💩 about yourself?…
I get it; you followed that account to feel “motivated”; something to “strive to be” 💪.
The reality is this is not how our brains are wired. Our brains 🧠 seek comfort, familiarity and belonging. When we surround ourselves with images/videos, etc. of people who don’t reflect ourselves, it can cause our stress hormone to be released 😖.
I think it’s a safe bet to say, some accounts you follow make you FEEL UNATTRACTIVE, not good enough, not sexy enough, ashamed, depressed, when looking at posts? Then you find yourself overthinking your clothes, what you eat, what you should “change” about yourself.
CHALLENGE: Go through your socials and delete ANY accounts that don’t leave you feeling supported or encouraged.

TIPS FOR BUILDING ✨CONFIDENCE! ✨
Let me guess… you follow some accounts on insta for “inspiration”. Maybe you’ve thought some of the following? ⬇️
- “I’m going to do those workouts and then I’ll look like that”
- “I’ll follow this person and then I can be motivated to do what she does”
- “that’s how I want my life to look. I’ll follow them and get ideas”
…
The truth is, our intentions for pressing that follow button are always in the hopes of a positive result, when in reality it ends up doing more harm than good.
WHAT CAN YOU DO ABOUT IT?
- unfollow any account that doesn’t bring you joy
- unfollow any account that doesn’t reflect your current self
Our brains are wired to need a sense of belonging. The more we follow accounts that depict anything other than ourselves, we begin to feel lonely, unwanted, unloved, not good enough, etc.
Comment “done” when you’ve unfollowed someone that doesn’t leave you feeling good.
