Where do we even begin? History was made in Lindsay yesterday!
On June 13, 2026, what we believe to be the first adult ladies slo-pitch tournament fundraiser in Lindsay took place at Wilson Fields, and what an incredible day it was. The diamonds were packed with ball, laughter, competition, and an amazing sense of community from start to finish.
This historic ladies division ran alongside our coed division, creating one of the busiest days Wilson Fields has seen for adult slopitch in years. Nearly every diamond at the park was full throughout the day, with players, families, and supporters filling the diamonds and creating an incredible atmosphere for local sports.
A huge thank you to our four incredible teams:
β’ Purple People Eaters
β’ Big Ol' Hitties
β’ Quit Your Pitching
β’ Lady Kraze
Thank you to all of the captains and players who helped make this day possible. Your enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and support for one another created an atmosphere that was truly special.
This is only the beginning of our tournament recap. There will be multiple posts over the coming days as more photos continue to pour in and as we recognize the many volunteers, sponsors, vendors, partners, players and supporters who helped make this event such a success.
What stood out most was the incredible team spirit shown throughout the ladies division. Together, we raised funds in support of the Kawartha Fury Lacrosse girls grassroots program while creating a memorable day for women's sports in our community.
And now, congratulations to the champions of: πWhat we believe to be the first adult ladies slo-pitch tournament fundraiser in Lindsay

π€β€οΈ Kawartha Fury U22 Game Night β Friday, June 12th β LOCATION UPDATE β€οΈπ€
The last two weeks have brought unimaginable heartbreak to our local community and our lacrosse family.
The most recent event was a tragic accident including our own U22 player, Eric Hainer. Eric, along with two others, lost their lives, and another person remains hospitalized.
There are no words that can make sense of this amount of loss. Our hearts are with everyone impacted β with families, friends, teammates, and all those carrying the weight of these events.
This week, every Kawartha Fury game has begun with a moment of silence to honour all lives affected. But as we move forward, we also wanted to come together.
We want to remember Eric for the life he lived β his kindness, his passion, his teammates, and the joy he found on the floor with a stick in his hands. Lacrosse was a place where Eric belonged, where he connected, competed, laughed, and shared his love of the game.
Eric was a new member of the Kawartha Fury family, joining us after playing with the Peterborough Lakers community. Although his time with us was far too short, he made an impact, and he will always be part of our family.
To ensure there is room for everyone who wishes to come together and show their support, our Friday, June 12th U22 game has been moved to:
π Healthy Planet Arena β Peterborough
We are calling on our entire lacrosse community β Fury players, Lakers players, coaches, families, alumni, friends, and supporters β to join us.
Come not just to watch a game, but to stand together. To support Ericβs family, his friends, his teammates, and one another.
Bring your Fury gear. Bring your Lakers gear. Bring your memories, your stories, and your support.
Because the medicine game has always been bigger than the scoreboard.
It brings people together.
It creates connection.
It helps us carry one another through the hardest moments.
Letβs come together as a lacrosse family and show the power of community, compassion, and the game Eric loved.
