π Exciting News! π
T.H.R.I.L. is honoured to have received the Outstanding New Build or Modification Award from the City of Kawartha Lakes!
This award recognizes our commitment to accessibility through projects such as our fully accessible tack room and the installation of automatic door buttons throughout our facility. These improvements help create an environment where individuals of all abilities can participate more independently, confidently, and with dignity.
At T.H.R.I.L., we believe accessibility is about more than removing barriersβitβs about creating opportunities for everyone to fully experience the benefits of therapeutic horsemanship and riding.
Thank you to our participants, volunteers, staff, board members, and supporters who help make this possible every day. ππ΄

π Inspiring the Next Generation of Community Leaders! π
This week, Sam and Hannah had the wonderful opportunity to visit the civics classes at LCVI to talk about the important role that non-profit organizations play in our communities and to share all about what T.H.R.I.L. does to support individuals through adaptive riding, horsemanship, and equine-assisted activities.
We had some fantastic conversations about volunteering, community involvement, accessibility, and the impact that giving back can have on the lives of others. ππ΄
A huge thank you to the students and staff at Lindsay Collegiate and Vocational Institute for welcoming us into your classrooms. We were thrilled to meet so many enthusiastic students and are excited to welcome several new volunteers to the T.H.R.I.L. family!
Volunteers are the heart of our program, and we canβt wait to see the positive impact these young leaders will have both at the farm and in our community.

Today, we had a THRILL to meet and listen to esteemed recipient of both the Order of Canada and the Order of Ontario, David Lepofsky, as keynote speaker at the Abilities Centre Symposium for Dismantling Ableism. His engaging dialogue along with his wisdom and knowledge of disability rights and accessible legislation was both entertaining and informative. The panel discussion that followed was also enlightening and gives hope that with more awareness there may be more action for inclusiveness and accessibility for everyone.
