SELECT PROGRAM UPDATE

Listowel Minor Hockey and Drayton Minor Hockey are partnering to support Select programming.

Select is an additional opportunity for Local League players that includes extra practices, exhibition games and tournaments throughout the season.

This season:
🏒 U11 Select — Hosted by LMHA
🏒 U13 Select — Hosted by DMH
🏒 U15 Select — Hosted by DMH

Select schedules can vary in both time and location, and families should be prepared for early mornings, evenings, tournaments and potentially multiple hockey commitments in one day. A $100 registration fee is paid to the host association, with additional team costs depending on tournaments, hotels and other team events.

Power skating is all about developing the skating mechanics, speed, agility, acceleration and edge work players need to keep up with the pace of today’s game. 💨⛸️

LMHA is excited to offer TWO 10-WEEK POWER SKATING SESSIONS with Jason Brooks! 🔥

📅 Session 1: Mid-October – Late December
⛸️ Focused on power skating, speed, edges and skating mechanics.

📅 Session 2: Early January – Mid-March
🏒 Building on those skating skills with puck control and hockey skills incorporated into the sessions.

Registration is currently open exclusively to LMHA-registered players. The September 30 deadline is your opportunity to secure a spot before registration is opened to fill any remaining spaces.

Help Us Fill the LMHA Community Closet! 🏒

We need your help filling the new LMHA Community Closet – Keeping Kids in the Game!

If you have hockey equipment your players have outgrown or no longer use, please consider passing it along to another hockey family in our community.

Everything in the Community Closet will be available to LMHA families completely free of charge.

There is no requirement to donate in order to take equipment. If your player needs something and we have it, it's yours.

We are accepting clean, gently used hockey equipment in sizes from our youngest players through U18/adult sizes, including:

Skates • Sticks • Gloves • Hockey Pants • Shoulder Pads • Elbow Pads • Shin Pads • Hockey Bags • Practice Jerseys • Base Layers • Goalie Equipment

We are also accepting outgrown Cyclone swag, including hoodies, jackets, shirts, hats and other Cyclone apparel.

Helmets must be NEW.
New mouth guards are also welcome.

Our rule for used equipment is simple: If you wouldn't put your own child in it, please don't donate it.

Donations will be accepted until Saturday, September 5.

Dealership Hours:
Monday–Thursday: 8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Please note: all three dealerships will close at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5 for the long weekend.

🏒 LMHA COMMUNITY CLOSET – KEEPING KIDS IN THE GAME 🏒

We’re excited to launch the LMHA Community Closet, a volunteer-run initiative built around one simple idea: families helping families.

Have hockey equipment your child has outgrown? Give it another season!

We are collecting clean, gently used hockey equipment that can be passed along to another LMHA player at no cost.

Skates • Sticks • Gloves • Hockey Pants • Shoulder Pads • Elbow Pads • Shin Pads • Hockey Bags • Hockey Socks • Practice Jerseys • Base Layers • Neck Guards • Jocks/Jills • Skate Laces • Goalie Equipment

New equipment is always welcome too!

⚠️ HELMETS & MOUTHGUARDS:
At this time, we will only be accepting new helmets and mouthguards. We cannot verify the impact history or safety of a used helmet, so we feel this is the safest approach for our players.

❤️ PLEASE KEEP IN MIND:
All donated equipment should arrive clean and ready for another player to use.

Our rule of thumb is simple:

If you wouldn’t put your own player in it, please don’t donate it.
