What a great weekend at the Red Deer Competition on May 30th!

Our team put in months of hard work, dedication, and training, and it showed. We are proud to announce that our students brought home 17 medals! 🎉🥋

A very special congratulations goes out to Tristan Conroy for earning the title of Junior Black Belt Grand Champion! What an outstanding achievement. We are incredibly proud of your hard work, determination, and performance. Well deserved, Tristan! 👏🏆

To all of our competitors, congratulations on your success and for representing our club with such great sportsmanship and effort. The commitment you’ve shown over the last couple of months leading up to this competition has been inspiring, and every one of you should be proud of what you accomplished.

Welcome to Our Final Month of the Season!

It’s hard to believe we’ve reached the end of another fantastic year! Thank you to all of our students and families for your hard work, dedication, and support throughout the season. Here’s everything you need to know as we wrap things up for the summer.

💰 June Fees

June fees are now due. If you have not yet submitted your fees, please do so this week.

📅 Class Schedule Changes

Now that tournament season has come to an end, we’re giving our students a well-deserved break from the extra training sessions.

There will be no:
• Tuesday 8:00pm–8:30pm classes
• Friday classes

We will continue with our regular class schedule through the remainder of June.

🍂 Fall Pre-Registration Now Open

Beginning this month, we will be accepting pre-registrations for returning students for our Fall 2026 season.

As many of you know, we are excitedly awaiting the arrival of baby boy! Because of this, we are planning to return to classes in November 2026.

To reserve your spot for November:
• A $90 deposit will be required.
• This deposit will be applied to your November fees, meaning November tuition will already be paid.

At this time, pre-registration is available for returning students only. We appreciate everyone’s understanding regarding our later fall start and hope to welcome all of our students back in November!

🥋 Beginner Class Update

There will be no Beginner Classes until January 2027.

All current beginner students will move into the Intermediate Class when classes resume in November.

✅ June Testing

Our final testing of the season will take place on:

June 23rd

Students who are ready to test will be notified.

🎉 Last Class of the Season

Our final class before summer break will be:

June 25th

Thank you for an incredible season filled with growth, hard work, tournaments, testing, friendships, and achievements. We are so proud of everything our students have accomplished this year and can’t wait to see everyone again in November!

We’ll be placing one last order for club t-shirts and sweaters this year!
With the warmer weather, we’ve had a few requests for shirts, so this is your chance to grab one.

As temperatures rise, please remember to:
• Bring a water bottle to class

Testing Night – Thursday, April 23rd 🥋

We have belt testing this Thursday at 6:00pm!

If your student’s name is not on the testing list below, they will not have class this Thursday.

Students and parents are encouraged to arrive 15–20 minutes early to stretch, practice, and warm up before testing begins.

What you need:
• Clean, full uniform
• Water
• Testing fees (submitted before testing)

On Saturday, April 11th, we took 15 students to the Calgary Open Martial Arts Championships. We had an absolute blast competing and representing our school. A big thank you to Sensei Alex Capicio for hosting such a fantastic event!

Our team brought home 24 medals, including several first-time wins for some of our students. Watching their hard work, growth, and confidence shine on the mats was truly special.

A huge thank you to our amazing parents for your constant support! Cheering loud, encouraging our students, and making sure they felt just how proud we are of them.

And to our students, congratulations! You continue to make us proud time and time again. Your dedication and heart never go unnoticed.

Next stop: Red Deer competition in 6 weeks… let’s go! 💪🔥

Big news coming for the Art of Taekwondo and Kungfu that may affect the start of next class season. ⬇️⬇️

The club will have a new student on the wait list as Mr. V and Mrs. Ma are expecting a bundle of joy coming in late August. We are very excited to share this news with our club family and for the start of this new journey! ❤️

Hi y’all!
Reminder that tonight is performance practice from 6:00pm-7:30pm. No uniforms or tracksuits necessary, just bring your weapon if you took it home over the weekend.

Performance will begin at 6:45 for any parents wanting to come and watch.

🌸 Welcome to (almost) April! 🌸
Here’s what you need to know for the month ahead!

• April fees are due! Please make sure they are sent in tomorrow.

• There will be no competition class on Friday due to Good Friday.

• Schedule change for next week:
There will be no classes next week except for Wednesday.
We will be holding a practice/performance class from 6:00–7:30pm for students attending the Calgary tournament.

• April testing will take place on April 23rd starting at 6:00pm.
There will be no regular classes for students who are not testing.

• Tracksuits update:
We are still waiting for them to arrive and are hoping to have them by next Wednesday. If not, please ensure you have your uniforms, old tracksuits, or club shirts ready for the Calgary competition.

• If students are unable to attend the Wednesday performance class (the 8th), please make sure to take home all required items ahead of time, including:
– Sparring gear
– Uniforms
– Water bottles
– Weapons needed for competition

This is important as we will be closed most of next week and Friday (the 3rd).
