For the past 12 years, I've had the privilege of watching Milena grow—not only as a dancer, but as a person. She has always been thoughtful, hardworking, humble, and deeply caring toward those around her.

As I reflect on her journey, I am reminded that some of the strongest leaders are the ones who lead through their actions, their consistency, and the way they make others feel seen and supported. That is Milena.

Watching her prepare for the next chapter of her life fills me with so much pride. The nursing profession is gaining someone truly special.

Milena, thank you for trusting us to be part of your journey. It has been an honour to watch you grow, and we can't wait to see where life takes you next.

✨🎓 Senior Spotlight: Milena Kokonas🎓 ✨

Twelve years ago, a young dancer walked through our studio doors, and over the years we have had the privilege of watching her grow into an incredible young woman.

Milena has always led with quiet strength. She is the kind of dancer who shows up prepared, works hard without complaint, and consistently gives her best effort. Her commitment to her team, her teachers, and her own growth has been unwavering throughout her journey.

What makes Milena truly special, however, is not just her talent—it is her character. She is thoughtful, kind, and supportive of everyone around her. Whether sharing a smile with a teammate, encouraging a younger dancer, or simply leading by example, Milena has made our studio a better place.

As she begins her next chapter pursuing a career in nursing, we know she will bring the same compassion, dedication, and caring heart that she has shared with us for so many years. She is exactly the kind of person you would want beside you when you need support, and we have no doubt she will make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Milena, thank you for twelve wonderful years of memories, hard work, laughter, and growth. We are incredibly proud of the young woman you have become and cannot wait to see all that lies ahead for you.

This June 12 & 13, our dancers will be taking their CDTA Ballet, Tap, and Jazz examinations.
We are so proud of every student who has committed to this step in their training. Preparing for exams takes months of dedication, focus, and perseverance, and these dancers have truly shown what it means to work with consistency and heart.
At Core Dynamics, we believe exams are about more than technique. They build confidence, resilience, discipline, and personal growth that extends far beyond the studio.
Did you know? CDTA examinations completed by emerging and senior dancers can count toward dual-credit high school graduation in Saskatchewan. These externally recognized credentials allow dancers to turn their studio training into academic credit.

As you go into your exams, remember:

💙 A Message for Charlie 💙

As I watch this video, I see more than a dancer.

I see a little three-year-old who grew up in the studio. I see years of hard work, determination, laughter, tears, friendships, challenges, victories, and growth.

I've watched Charlie work through injuries, overcome self-doubt, celebrate successes, and continue showing up ready to learn. I've watched her discover not only what she is capable of, but who she wants to be.

What makes me most proud isn't the exams, awards, competitions, or opportunities ahead—although those are all incredible accomplishments.

What makes me proud is the way she treats people.

Charlie has a gift for making room for others. She leads with kindness, includes those around her, and never lets her achievements become more important than the people she shares them with. She is humble, compassionate, hardworking, and wonderfully herself.

Watching her find confidence, purpose, and belonging through dance has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.

Charlie, thank you for sharing your journey with all of us. I am so proud of the dancer you have become, but even more proud of the person you are.

The studio won't be quite the same without you, but I know this is only the beginning.

🎓💙 Senior Spotlight: Charlie Johnston 💙🎓

Some dancers grow up at the studio. Charlie grew up with the studio.

From the time she was three years old, Charlie has spent countless hours in these walls learning, training, laughing, dreaming, and discovering who she is. Over the past 15 years, we have had the privilege of watching her develop into an accomplished dancer, a respected leader, and an exceptional young woman.

Charlie has trained in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, and acro, completing her CDTA examinations through the Advanced level and earning her National Achievement Award in Tap. This spring, she will represent Canada at the Dance World Cup in Ireland as both a group dancer and soloist before heading to Vancouver this fall after being accepted into Harbour Dance Centre's Intensive Training Program.

While these accomplishments are impressive, they are only part of Charlie's story.

What makes Charlie special is how she shows up. She approaches every class with determination, curiosity, and a willingness to do the work. She has overcome challenges, pushed through setbacks, and continued to grow not only as a dancer but as a person.

As one of our Junior Teachers, she leads by example, inspiring younger dancers through her work ethic, kindness, and genuine love of learning. She helps create the culture of our studio by making others feel welcome, valued, and included.

Charlie is driven, intelligent, talented, hilarious, compassionate, humble, and unapologetically herself. She reminds us that true success isn't just about achievement—it's about the impact we have on the people around us.

Charlie, thank you for sharing your gifts with our studio family. We are incredibly proud of everything you have accomplished, but even more proud of the person you have become.

Some students come into your life and leave a lasting impact, and Alisha is one of those students.

I have had the privilege of teaching Alisha since she was 8 years old, and watching her grow into the young woman she is today has been one of the greatest joys of my career. Through every challenge, every goal, and every achievement, she has shown incredible dedication, discipline, and determination.

What makes Alisha truly special is not just her talent, but her character. She leads with kindness, supports those around her, and approaches everything she does with integrity and heart. Whether she is training, teaching, or serving her community, she gives her best and inspires others to do the same.

As I look back on her journey through these videos, I am reminded of just how much she has grown—not only as a dancer, but as a leader and an amazing young person.
