Introducing your Ivey Law Club Co-Presidents for 2023-24 🥳🥳💚💚

Continuing with our podcast series, here is episode #6 & 7!

Episode 6 features Lipika Singh, an Associate in the Dickinson Wright Toronto office. She has assisted with a handful of private acquisitions and public offerings as a summer and articling student.

Episode 7 features Jory Birbager, Legal Counsel at Aligned Capital Partners Inc., a subsidiary of CI Financial. Before this role, Jory worked as a Banking & Financial Services Lawyer at Macdonald Sager LLP, where he acted for a number of financial institutions on a range of secured lending transactions.

This week, we are releasing episode 4 & 5 of the ILC podcast!

Episode 4 features Allison Fehrman, a commercial leasing lawyer. Allison applies a client-focused and business-minded approach to her law practice, which includes acting for commercial retail, office and industrial landlords and tenants in a variety of leasing matters. Allison joined the firm as an associate after working with Daoust Vukovich LLP as both an articling student and a summer student.

Episode 5 features Jonathan Green an immigration lawyer. Jonathan assists clients with all aspects of immigration law in Canada. Jonathan is particularly interested in assisting businesses with long-term workforce planning, including corporate employee transfers, federal skilled worker applications, investor applications, work permits, and the Temporary Foreign Worker Program.

The Ivey Law Club is excited to launch the Co-President Application for 2023-2024!! 💚

We are looking for the next leaders of the club, who are passionate about law and providing legal opportunities to HBA students! ⭐️

Co-Presidents are responsible for the overall management of the club. Activities include setting the club agenda and direction, exploring external opportunities, acting as a liaison between the executive team and HBAA, and assisting with portfolios as needed.

Applications are due by Monday, March 13!

This episode features Zachary Fleisher, an associate in the Municipal, Planning and Property Tax Group at Goodmans.

His practice focuses on land use planning, development, and municipal law matters primarily for private sector clients.

Episode #2 of the podcast has launched! The episode features Samantha Wolfish, who is currently Counsel for Uber Canada Inc. in Toronto where she works on commercial, transactional and employment matters. 

Sam has extensive in-house legal experience having worked as Legal Counsel for Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies of Canada where she provided corporate, regulatory and privacy legal support.  Prior to that, Sam worked as Legal Counsel at Jonas Software where she worked on the acquisition of software companies and provided commercial legal support to the existing portfolio of companies.
