It’s been such a pleasure being a coach and mentor for over the past seven years.
From her final two seasons as a varsity athlete, to now working with her each summer during her Morgan Baker Goalie Clinic in Kincardine, Ontario, we’ve covered a lot of ground.
And I’m grateful for every step 🦶

Peak mental performance is something every goalie wants to tap into.
But between the pipes can be a tough place to play the game when things aren’t going exactly as we hoped.
That’s why we support and its Lift The Mask initiative with a donation of $1 from every private and team session we coach.
Those donations go toward providing goalies who need assistance with their mental health, with a $100 stipend.
If you or a goalie you know is struggling, direct them to liftthemask.com to find the support they need.

We’ve got jerseys!
For those who know me, they know I’m not about the bling, but all about the thing (getting better at goaltending).
But, for the first time ever, thanks to the thoughtfulness and kindness of Matt Hughes and his daughter Addie, we’ve finally got some merch that the kids we coach can proudly wear.
There’s a limited number available, so the first eight students to commit to private training for this coming season will take home one of these unique pieces.

⬇️ Drop to knees to protect net and appear to forechecker as though you intend to cover the puck
🪤 Draw the forecheck in to a point that they will be trapped deep in the zone behind all of your players
➕ Make a breakout pass and set your team up for a 5v4 rush
😎 Act like you’ve done it 100 times
And the best part? This skill was refined just a couple weeks earlier in a single practice session.
And that’s the beauty of practice when it’s done with intent, those skills just show up in games.
