Shadowlane's July Recap

Shadowlane had a busy but very fun July, with multiple horse shows and camps!

Our Silver team attended Silver CEP 3 with great results. It was another great group with an amazing group of riders, families, and friends. Its always wonderful seeing the progress that our horses and riders make throughout the show season. Silver CEP 4 kicked off today, and we look forwards to another great week!

We had riders attended the CEP Summer 2 Gold show. Despite multiple delays due to smoke and rain, our riders took it in stride and perfmored wonderfully.

The first kids summer camp followed, and it was a super fun filled week with lots of aspiring young riders. With games, riding, lessons in horsemanship, and more, it was never a dull moment!

We ended July with our annual teen camp. This camp focuses on advanced horsemanship and riding skills for teen riders looking to become great horsepeople, and have fun doing it!

May & June Horse Show Recap!

Shadowlaners attended the Millside Trillium Show II in May, and the HSE Prelude and CEP Silver 2 in June!

The Trillium show crew was small but mighty! Highlights include champion placings for Kelsey and Cashtanha and Nia and Be Like Owen, with reserve champ Julia and Beaverwood’s Ivy.

Our Prelude riders included several students who are new to showing. Having new riders enter the show ring is always so exciting and we are grateful to have such wonderful horses who ensure that their first time showing is fun and safe! The heavy rain did cause the show to be called early, but our riders were great sports in spite of the rain.

Our CEP Silver riders enjoyed a much warmer show than the first CEP show! It was a great week with lots of ribbons, learning, and teamwork. Seeing the growth our riders and horses are making just two shows into the season is amazing. Huge thank you as always to the families and friends whose support and help make big shows like this possible for our riders!

We are looking forward to CEP Silver 3 next week!

What a wonderful start to the 2026 show season!

April saw Shadowlane riders attending the High Street Horse Shows Spring Fling Trillium Show and Silver Central Phase 1 at Caledon Equestrian Park.

We had new partnerships, riders stepping up to new heights, and returning pairs. Its was a great two weekends of learning, fun, and amazing team work by riders, families, staff, and coaches. No matter the weather everyone gave it their all and worked hard to help their horse's shine.

We can't wait to see what the rest of the show season will bring!

Teen Camp - Monday July 27 to Thursday July 30

Spots open for teens aged 12 to 16

Teen camp promotes an in depth look at horsemanship and riding, so is suitable for youth with prior horse and riding experience. Campers need to be comfortable handling a horse on the ground, grooming, tacking, and riding independently at the walk and the trot/jog.

Campers have an optional sleep over on the Wednesday night with pick up Thursday morning

$500 + HST per camper for 1 week

Monday March 16 - Wednesday March 18 (3 Days)
9am-4pm each day

Monday August 10- Friday August 14

Our kids camp is for children aged 4 to 12 years old as of Jan 1, 2025. Camp is a great way for children to explore horses both on the ground and on their backs in a safe, experienced environment. Campers will b​e involved in the daily care for the horses as well as a riding lesson each day, crafts, and weather appropriate games. ​Campers do not need previous riding experience, just a love of horses!
