June 28, 2023- Notice from EMSA - Air Quality

The City of London has closed all fields this evening on the direction of the Middlesex-London Health Unit.

In keeping with that direction, EMSA is cancelling all games in any area that fall within Middlesex-London Health Unit jurisdiction. We are further notified that LAWSL has cancelled all of its league games for this evening.

If your Club falls outside of the Middlesex-London Health Unit, the home club will make the final determination. We would ask that the Clubs make their decision in consultation with their local health unit.

Further we will leave it to the Clubs that fall outside of the Middlesex-London area to exercise their own discretion with respect to whether to cancel training sessions or house league programs.

June 27, 2023: Message from EMSA -

Please be advised that all soccer games in EMSA District are cancelled this evening (June 27th) due to poor air quality. This includes any club training sessions and house league programs. We will closely monitor the situation continuing into tomorrow and keep you apprised.

June 26, 2023- Email from the City of London:

“As a result of the rain over the last 24 hours and more in the forecast we have decided to close ALL grass soccer fields, baseball diamonds and cricket pitches for the evening of June 26. City Wide artificial turf remains open.”
