Lorette Curling Club

Four members of the Lorette Curling Club, who are also affiliated with the Fort Garry Curling Club, had an opportunity this week to compete at the 2026 Winnipeg Daytimers Championship. They competed against all other Winnipeg clubs and came out on top. They are the 2026 men's champions. They finished at the top of their pool and won both of their playoff games to claim victory. The team was comprised of Luc Audette, Marty Foidart, Gilbert Brunette, Mike Brommell and Andy Schultz(which unfortunately is not in the picture).

A good time was had by everyone who attended the 2026 Lorette Open Bonspiel. We had players from the very young, 11 years old to the more distinguished players in their 80’s. Once the dust settled, the team with the most wisdom paid off and they took the A-Side final.

The food was amazing as usual and there were many prizes to be won. We would like to thank all of our sponsors and volunteers who made the whole spiel a great success.

Can’t wait to see everyone again next year. It’s never too early to sign up for next year if you want to save your spot!!

The Lorette Curling Club hosted the Portage Curling Club this weekend for the O’Grady Challenge. The guys had a great time and wish good luck to Portage who will be moving on to the next club!

The Lorette Curling Club hosted the Springfield Curling Club(from Dugald) for the Deneen Cup Challenge. They were tied after 8 ends and had to go to extra end to determine a winner and see which club moved on to play Charleswood C.C. The Lorette Curling Club was able to pull off the win and move forward to play Charleswood.
