π POOL UPDATE β CLOSED TODAY π
We have made the hard decision to close the pool for all swimmers today as we continue working to restore safe water visibility.
Participants in todayβs swimming lessons have been notified directly.
We are doing our best, with the help of a professional pool operator, spending the day vacuuming, treating, and carefully balancing the water in hopes of reopening tomorrow.
If conditions improve enough for the 6:00 pm Public Swim tonight, we will post an update immediately.
Thank you for your patience while we work to get the pool safely reopened.

π¨ POOL CLOSED FOR THE REST OF THE EVENING π¨
Our staff have been working hard throughout the day to clear the water. Unfortunately, ongoing visibility issues mean the pool will remain closed for the rest of the evening.
We plan to reopen for swimming lessons tomorrow, but conditions will be reassessed in the morning. Please check this page for the most up-to-the-minute information.
Thank you for your patience as we continue to prioritize swimmer safety. ππββοΈπββοΈ

πββοΈ SWIMMING LESSONS ARE A GO TODAY! πββοΈ
Good news β swimming lessons will run as scheduled today!
However, ongoing water visibility issues mean we need to continue to put safety first. The pool will therefore remain CLOSED for Public Swim from 2:00β4:30 pm today.
We hope conditions continue to improve and will reassess the pool throughout the day. Weβll keep you updated on this eveningβs swim schedule.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to keep everyone safe! π

π¦ POOL CLOSURE EXTENDED THROUGH THIS EVENING π¦
Friends,
We need to extend the pool closure through this evening, as the water has not yet cleared enough to meet our visibility standard for patron safety.
Lessons will run tomorrow morning as usual, but we will reassess water visibility before opening for other swims.
And hereβs where you can help us! π If you walk by and can clearly see the black button on the bottom of the deep end, please let us know! That is the visibility standard we use to ensure we can safely supervise swimmers in the water.
Thank you for your patience β and for helping us keep everyone safe! π

π¨ POOL CLOSED THIS AFTERNOON π¨
Due to the recent rain and high humidity, the pool water is currently cloudy. While the water remains safe, reduced visibility does not meet our safety standards or allow our lifeguards to provide the safest possible swimming conditions.
For this reason, the pool will be closed for the afternoon. We plan to reopen for 5pm Senior/Lane swim and if that changes we will advise here.
Thank you for your understanding and will provide an update when conditions improve.

πππ July 25 is World Drowning Prevention Day πππ
World Drowning Prevention Day raises awareness of the profound impact drowning has on families and communities. This past week our posts highlight proven actions that can save lives.
The global impact is staggering:
π§ More than 300,000 people lose their lives to drowning each yearβthat is approximately 30 people every hour.
π§ Drowning is the third-leading cause of death among children aged 5β14 years.
π§ 92% of drowning deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries.
π§ Many drowning deaths occur in rivers, lakes, wells, domestic water-storage containers and swimming pools.
π§ Children, young people and people living in rural communities are disproportionately affected.
Nearly every drowning death is preventable. Learning to swim, actively supervising children, wearing a properly fitted PFD and making safe choices around water can save lives.
Today, we "Unite to Turn the Tide" on drowning.
