Not feeling your glutes, quads, or hamstrings when you train legs? 👀

You might not need different exercises... You might just need better technique.

Small changes in your setup and ex*****on can make a HUGE difference in muscle activation, strength gains, and overall results.

Here are 4 common lower-body exercises and how to FIX them so you get more out of every rep 👇

✅ ROMANIAN DEADLIFTS (RDLs)

This is a hip hinge movement — NOT a squat.

Instead:

✔️ Push your hips back
✔️ Keep a slight bend in your knees
✔️ Keep the weight close to your legs
✔️ Focus on stretching your hamstrings
✅ BULGARIAN SPLIT SQUATS

Most people turn this into a lunge and end up putting unnecessary stress on their knees.

Instead:

✔️ Keep your front knee tracking in line with your toes
✔️ Think about sitting back slightly toward your rear leg
✔️ Push through your front foot
✔️ Stay balanced and controlled

✅ BARBELL BACK SQUATS

A common mistake is overextending the lower back or letting the chest collapse forward.

Instead:

✔️ Keep your chest proud
✔️ Brace your core throughout the entire movement
✔️ Maintain a neutral spine
✔️ Keep tension from start to finish

✅ REVERSE LUNGES

If your stance is too narrow, you'll struggle with balance and muscle activation.

Instead:

✔️ Take a longer stride backward
✔️ Widen your stance slightly
✔️ Push through your front foot
✔️ Stay controlled throughout the rep

Still feeling your shoulders, back, or arms in ALL the wrong places when training upper body? 👀

Chances are… it’s not the exercise.

It’s your FORM.

So here are 4 common upper-body exercises and how to FIX them so you can build more muscle, improve mind-muscle connection, and stop wasting reps 👇🔥

✅ LATERAL RAISES
Stop swinging the weight and rocking backwards.

Instead:
✔️ Keep a slight bend in your elbows
✔️ Raise the dumbbells slightly in front of your body
✔️ Lift slow and controlled
✔️ Focus on tension, not ego

Your shoulders should be doing the work… not your lower back.

✅ SINGLE ARM ROWS
Most people pull straight up and miss their lats completely.

Instead:
✔️ Keep your chest proud
✔️ Drive your elbow BACK toward your hip
✔️ Pause & squeeze at the top for 1 second
✔️ Control the lowering phase

Think “elbow to hip,” not “weight to chest.”

✅ FACE PULLS
This movement is incredible for posture, rear delts, and shoulder health… IF you do it correctly.

✔️ Keep elbows HIGH and wide
✔️ Pull toward your face, not your chest
✔️ Slow the movement down
✔️ Focus on squeezing your upper back

Perfect for anyone sitting at a desk all day.

✅ LAT PULLDOWNS
If you’re pulling the bar to your stomach… you’re doing it wrong 😅

✔️ Slight lean back
✔️ Drive elbows DOWN
✔️ Pull bar toward upper chest
✔️ Stay controlled the entire rep

Every trainer has that one secret weapon they pull out at the end of a workout…

The wall sit.

And somehow, 10–15 seconds feels like 4 hours.

But as painful as they are, wall sits are actually super effective for building:
