One of the hardest parts of training isn’t the workout itself, but staying committed long enough to see adaptation happen.
A lot of athletes quit a program too early because they expect progress to look dramatic immediately. But athletic development usually happens gradually, then all at once.
Social media has also changed how athletes view training. Everyone sees highlight clips, crazy jumps, and “instant results,” so when their own progress feels slow, they assume something isn’t working.
In reality, some of the best offseason improvements come from doing the boring things consistently:
- Showing up
- Recovering properly
- Repeating movements
- Tracking progress
- Trusting the process even before results are obvious
That’s why consistency matters more than one great session or one big jump.
Real development is repeatable.
What’s harder for you:
Staying patient, or staying consistent?

The rumours are true. Performance testing has begun and we’ve been keeping a secret. Can you guess what it is?

A lot of athletes think development only comes from playing more games, more reps, and more skill work.
But eventually, your body becomes the limiting factor.
If your body can’t handle the physical demands of your sport, it becomes harder to:
✔️ Move efficiently
✔️ Stay explosive
✔️ Recover properly
✔️ Stay healthy throughout a season
That’s why off-season training matters.
This is the time to focus on the things competition season doesn’t always allow you to build.
The better the foundation you build now, the more your body is capable of later.

Light Movement Plyometrics at 70% 🔑
Not every workout needs to leave you exhausted to be effective.
This athlete had a 9man tournament later in the day, so instead of overloading the body, we focused on light movement plyometrics, rhythm, coordination, and keeping the nervous system sharp without adding unnecessary fatigue.
A lot of athletes think progress only comes from max effort sessions every time they train. In reality, consistency is what creates results.
During season, smart training matters just as much as hard training.
This is also why once-a-week training can make progress difficult. When we only see athletes for one hour every 7 days, it becomes challenging to properly develop strength, movement, recovery, and performance all at once.
More frequent training allows us to structure sessions with purpose. Which is where real development happens.

Big thanks to for taking time out of your son’s training session for a small chat.
He’s got an incredible future ahead, and it’s inspiring to watch the work you’re putting in together.
Looking forward to crossing paths again and hopefully collaborating down the road. 💪
