In just one week, our athletes will step onto the 2026 Taekwondo National Championship stage in Halifax.

These athletes have put in months of focused training—early mornings, late nights, and countless repetitions—preparing themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally for this moment. We are incredibly proud of the discipline, resilience, and heart they’ve shown throughout this journey.

A huge thank you to Master Cheng and Master Alizadeh for the countless hours of extra training, guidance, and personal time poured into developing these athletes. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.

At this point, all we know is this:
We have done our best to prepare—
and God will do the rest. 🙏

We’re excited to share a special moment for our Zion Taekwondo family. This season, several of our students earned the opportunity to represent Team Ontario—a meaningful milestone that reflects not only results, but consistent effort, character, and growth.

Behind these results are years of learning how to train with focus, manage pressure, adapting to new changes, and keep improving even when it’s hard. We’re especially proud of how our students support one another and seeing our competition team growing.

We’re truly thankful to Team Ontario, Taekwondo Ontario, our coaching team, and—most importantly—our parents and families for trusting us with your children’s development. The Team Ontario jacket is a wonderful honour, but what matters most to us is that our students can embodied good sportsmanship and showing their tenets of Taekwondo in and out of the ring.

Congratulations to all Ontario athletes heading into Nationals—we’re cheering for every student out there.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at our Annual Christmas Party today. We hope you had a great time celebrating, playing, and sharing laughs with our Zion Taekwondo community.

On Tuesday, Zion Taekwondo had the chance to stand alongside amazing sports organizations like , , and as we received the Markham Recognition Award from Mayor .scarpitti and our ward councillors.

We’re truly grateful for this recognition. It means a lot to our small but growing community, and it motivates us to keep giving our best to the students and families who trust us every day.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Zion — our athletes, parents, friends, and community. We’ll keep working hard and doing our part to help Markham’s youth grow strong in both character and skill.

As we close the final tournament of the year, it’s now time to shift our focus to our Black Belt athletes as they prepare for Nationals 2026.
